I am not really a flat iron fanatic but love to straighten my thick, wavy (and poofy too) tresses at least once in a week or two for a smooth, sleek style (that I wish I had naturally). As the name indicates, f40 hot iron activated smoothing cream has a creamy consistency that’s easy to work evenly through hair. It smells really nice with a sweet vanilla-ish scent that’s not too strong. The product is formulated to be used on dry hair just before heat styling. I start out with a small amount of the product by smoothing it over my strands, one section at a time and then apply it all over the length of my hair. After I use a flat iron, my strands look and feel salon smooth and moisturized without any signs of greasiness.

While the smoothing cream doesn’t create a smooth surface in just one pass of the flat iron, each section is perfectly smooth in two or three passes max. The smoothing cream does not weigh down my thick, dry hair but if you have fine hair that also tends to be oily, the creamy texture might be a little too heavy for your strands.

I am truly loving this heat-protecting and smoothing cream as it infuses hair with rich moisture and protein conditioning, combating the brittleness caused by extreme heat.  This “no commitment” hair styling product is just perfect for me to control those hair behavioral problems on a temporary basis whenever I want.
