Episencial Soothing Cream Comforts Bothered Skin

Jan 6, 2012 by

As you all know, I love trying out healthy, all-natural skincare products and today I have a new skincare product review that could be really helpful especially for all you moms out there! I discovered the Episencial soothing cream in my local Whole Foods while looking for a gentle, baby-safe moisturizer for my 2.5 year old daughter who has itchy, dry skin patches on her hands. Formulated specially for kids, Episencial soothing cream is an all-over lotion that helps relieve eczema, itches & bothered skin.

Here’s what the label says :

Episencial’s Soothing Cream is inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s favorite fruits from The World of Eric Carle. If your little one has eczema, itchy or irritated skin, Soothing Cream is the solution. Using the perfect blend of essential oils and extracts, it helps to relieve baby’s troubled skin. And not to worry, Soothing Cream contains only natural and organic ingredients! 4oz.

  • Fortified with probiotics (acidophilus and bulgaricum), organic cucumber extract and aloe vera to help soothe and comfort bothered skin.
  • Organic borage seed oil, jojoba seed oil, and oat extract to hydrate and restore natural lipids to help relieve itchy skin.
  • Organic safflower helps protect from the sun and elements, restoring skin balance and moisture.
  • Organic green tea, neem oil, and calendula extract to naturally boost skin immunity and help heal from eczema.
  • Excellent for cradle cap, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis (ORGANIC Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Glycerin (Plant Derived), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes, Octyldodecanol, Simmondsia Chinensis (ORGANIC Jojoba) Seed Oil, Beeswax, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil Unsaponifiables, Persea Gratissima (ORGANIC Avocado) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf (ORGANIC Neem) Extract, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil, Lactobacillus/Milk Ferment Lysate Filtrate (Yogurt Derived), Cucumis Sativus (ORGANIC Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria (ORGANIC Chamomile) Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (ORGANIC Safflower) Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis (ORGANIC Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Calendula Officinalis (ORGANIC Marigold) Flower, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Borage (Starflower) Seed Oil, Rubus Idaeus (ORGANIC Raspberry) Juice, Sclerotium Gum, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Capryl Hydroxamic Acid (Natural Preservative), Ethylhexylglycerin (Plant Derived Preservative), Caprylyl Glycol (Natural Preservative)

The soothing cream is truly amazing as I noticed results right away! I have tried a lot of extra-hydrating lotions for my daughter’s skin but nothing worked as well as this cream in getting rid of the consistent dryness almost overnight. I’ve been using the product on my daughter’s hands for about two weeks now, and her skin looks and feels absolutely normal without any dry patches. The Soothing cream does a great job of healing problem areas and keeping the “itchies” away. The lightweight formula absorbs instantly and doesn’t feel greasy at all. Also, there is no fragrance or chemical preservatives in the product so it can even be used on infants. In fact, I also like using this cream when my skin is feeling extra-dry and it really makes a difference.

That's my cutie with her favorite cream!

In conclusion, Episencial soothing cream has a lot of great stuff going for it – Free from synthetics like parabens & fragrances; all natural with lots of organics and fruit extracts; cruelty-free and affordable, too! You can buy the 4 oz tube of Soothing cream just for $11. What’s not to love? Not only is this product wonderful for the little ones, but is also an effective treatment for anybody with dry skin issues.

I am so glad I stumbled upon the Episencial skincare line and will definitely be checking out more of their products.

Hey I noticed there was organic borage seed oil in this soothing cream. What a great addition this is to the mix. There is a lot of evidence to borage’s soothing and relaxing effects through just applying the herb to the skin. This is more proof! Thanks!
