Get Your Skin Beach-ready with NIVEA (+Giveaway)

That’s right – whether you’re ready for it or not – beach season has arrived! We always seem to be behind schedule when it comes to getting our bodies in beach-ready condition. Thankfully, NIVEA has some amazing new products that can have your skin firmer and glowing in no time!

Today I am featuring a great set of new NIVEA skin care products designed to get your body beach-ready and enjoy a little summer beauty bliss! I received a “Beach Prep Kit” that includes a set of luscious NIVEA bath, body and lip care products, perfect for the summer season, and also a fun beach tote to carry the products when you’re on the go.

NIVEA Honeydew & Pearls Hydrating Shower Gel ($5.99) – This refreshing shower gel foams up nicely but the formula is hydrating and doesn’t leave the skin feeling stripped of moisture. And it smells delicious with the sweet scent of freshly cut honeydew and moisturizing golden sunflower oil pearls – a perfect beach-ready scent!

NIVEA Skin Firming Body Lotion with Q10 and Hydra IQ ($9.99) – This is absolutely my favorite product in the kit! Formulated with Co-Enzyme Q10 Complex, this body lotion provides long-lasting moisturization but the formula has a lightweight feel and isn’t thick or sticky. I love the way it just slips on the skin and soaks up quickly without the grease factor. Not only that, the scent is awesome….can’t get enough of it! It would be a staple in my summer skincare routine.

NIVEA Kiss of Protection Lip Care SPF 30 ($2.99) – You guys know how I am always on the lookout for high-SPF lip balms so this lippie in the kit was like a nice little treat! Enriched with shea butter and vitamin E, this lip balm is quite moisturizing and protects lips from UVA/ UVB sun exposure with an SPF 30 formula. The only downside for me is that it has chemical UV filters whereas I prefer physical sunscreens as much as possible.

NIVEA Sun Kissed Radiant Skin with Hydra IQ ($9.99) – This gradual tanner & daily lotion delivers a glowing, natural-looking tan within 5 days while caring for your skin with advanced moisturization. Available in two shades : Fair-medium and Medium-dark skin. I don’t use self-tanners so didn’t try out this one.

Lulu Neon Barrel Duffel Bag ($26) – Neon canvas fashions a trendy carryall with a cool barrel shape and bright zigzag handles. A removable crossbody strap adds versatility to the style. It’s perfect to stuff with all your beach-beauty must-haves including sunscreen and SPF lip balm while you explore the shore!

When we are talking about beach ready skin care, it’s no secret that exfoliation is the key to super-soft, radiant skin. Not only does it help to slough off dead skin cells and get rid of those dry patches, but also helps with prepping your skin for hair removal. Use your favorite body polish/scrub or simply make your own by mixing a cup of sugar with a quarter of a cup of olive oil and a teaspoon of vanilla extract to get a fresh, scented paste that’s all ready for slathering. However, be sure not to exfoliate for a couple days before you hit the beach. That’s because exfoliation removes some of the protective layer of the skin that the sunscreen bonds to.
