Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Nail Color in Firefly
Jan 25, 2013 by Harshleen
I think I have already talked about my love for duochrome nail polishes. It’s hard for me to resist picking up whenever I see one. Enter Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Nail Color in Firefly – a rosy bronze with a subtle shift to golden green.
The duochrome isn’t that apparent indoors and it mostly appears to be a pink toned bronze (that you see in my swatches) but when I’m outside, it’s easy to see the color shift to a soft golden green. I don’t have outdoor swatches for you but you can check out how the color looks in bright light at the Beauty Info Zone blog.
As for the formula, I wasn’t too happy with it. First, there were quite a few brushstrokes and it was also very slow drying. You’ll definitely want to add a top coat here. The color is opaque in 2 coats but here I have used 3. Overall, I really like this polish. It’s not something unique but a very pretty color anyways.
Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Nail Color retails for $7.29 and can be purchased at Target, Walgreens and all major drugstores.
Have you tried any of these Lustre Shine polishes? What did you think?
