Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks in Guilty Grey and Blamed Blue
Feb 6, 2013 by Harshleen
New for Spring 2013, Rimmel London ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks are chubby eye pencils which can be used as an eye shadow or eyeliner. Just like the recently launched ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners, these eyeshadow sticks are available in nine different shades ranging from bright, fun colors such as turquoise, green and purple to everyday staples such as black, beige and bronze.
Product Description
Rich, intense colour applies in a flash.
Jumbo applicator creates a dramatic look in just one stroke.
Creamy formula blends effortlessly for a luminous finish
Waterproof & Smudge-proof with 24HR wear.
Dermatologist & ophthalmologist tested.
As with any eye shadow stick, these are super easy to apply for an all over wash of color or you can also use them as a colored base for other shadows and of course as an eyeliner. The texture is quite smooth and creamy and blends out really well. Although not intense, the color payoff is excellent and easy to build up for more pigment and coverage. The formula is long-wearing and lasts all day (I tested it out only for 10+ hours) but not totally waterproof. Also, I noticed one of the shades (Blamed blue) started to crease after about 4-5 hours of wear if I didn’t use an eyeshadow primer underneath but the other shade (Guilty grey) didn’t crease at all and stayed put….go figure.
As for how do these compare to NYX’s Jumbo eye pencils, I found the Rimmel shadow sticks to be just as good in terms of color payoff, staying power and creaminess, maybe a little less creamy but nothing to complain about. Of course, the shade range is much larger for the NYX pencils.
Now let’s take a look at the colors I tried ….Guilty Grey and Blamed Blue. I have been reaching out for Guilty Grey quite often! Not only is it fab for a quick smoky eye but also love using it as an eyeliner…..this one is a keeper for sure!
Overall, I am quite pleased with the Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks. At just $4.49 each, these are definitely worth putting on your beauty radar.
Available at ULTA and Walgreens.
