My February Beauty Box 5 is here and it’s a good one! Beauty Box 5 is turning three this month so they are celebrating their anniversary with the theme hooray! This month’s Beauty Box 5 features 4 full sized products out of 5…let’s take a look.
Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in Vanilla Frosting (full size, $22.50) – This natural mineral based loose powder eyeshadow is a glimmering white shade. The formula packs a sparkly punch and is nicely pigmented but I am not too fond of the frosty finish. I prefer this one more as a soft highlighter.
Absolute New York Love Lip Balm (full size, $5) – Packaged in a cute little pink tin, this creamy lip balm has a sweet bubble gum scent! The formula is lightly tinted and adds just a hint of pink color to the lips. It does a good job of moisturizing & conditioning dry lips but the scent is a little too strong for me.
Avon Big Color Eye Pencil (full size, $3.49) – It has been a while I tried an Avon product so it was kinda nice to find this one in my box. This eyeshadow pencil is actually pretty good…I like the soft bronzy shade (Sunkissed) that has a nice color payoff and it’s long-lasting as well with an eyeshadow primer underneath.
Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel (full size, $3.99) – This is a full-sized nail polish in the shade Spanish Moss. It’s a dusty greyish-green that’s a good choice for a soft neutral manicure.
GlamGlow Youthful Tinglexfoliate Treatment (sample packet) – I have tried this exfoliating mask before and it didn’t really live up to the hype for me. It’s nice but nothing to rave about. It leaves my skin feeling smoother and refreshed but it does tingle quite a bit which I don’t like.
Overall, the February 2015 Beauty Box 5 was quite nice! My favorites are the Avon eyeshadow pencil and the Revlon nail color. Beauty Box 5 also included a $20 gift code to yourminerals.com which I don’t plan to use but it’s a good perk for mineral makeup fans.
