Let’s be honest, sunscreens aren’t always the most pleasant products to apply. Yes, it can be hard to get jazzed about applying the stuff if it’s greasy, sticky, tough to blend, or leave you coated in a white cast. But it’s also a fact that wearing sunscreen is one of the single easiest things you can do to protect your skin from both skin cancer and visible signs of aging. Thankfully, sunscreen has gotten a well-deserved makeover in recent years. Case in point: PCA Skin Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 45 that offers sun protection, tinted to perfection!
Protect your skin from UVA/UVB rays with this luxurious physical SPF that features a sheer tint to blend with most skin tones. Ubiquinone adds extra antioxidant protection. Awarded the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation.
Titanium Dioxide (6.0%) and Zinc Oxide (8.0%) – provide broad spectrum UV protection by reflecting, scattering and absorbing UV rays.
Ubiquinone (CoEnzyme Q10) – a potent antioxidant that fights free-radical damage. This is especially useful, as UV exposure generates free radicals in the skin.
Dimethicone – a silicone that contributes to the luxurious slip and finish of this tinted SPF.
PCA Skin Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 45 has an ultra-lightweight, silky lotion-like formula that absorbs instantly, leaving my skin feeling smooth & soft, never greasy. Between the barely-there texture and fragrance-free formula, it’s kind of like wearing nothing at all on my skin! The formula provides a light dose of moisture and is hydrating enough so I don’t need to moisturize my dry skin first…score! Plus, its high SPF makes it a serious skin protector.
What I really love is that despite being a purely physical SPF formula with only mineral sunscreen actives, it doesn’t leave any chalky white cast, thanks to its sheer tint that blends in perfectly with my light-medium skintone. It’s a very sheer tint, so there’s no coverage but it leaves my skin perfectly prepped for makeup with a smooth, shine-free base (unlike many mineral sunscreens, which can be quite difficult to apply makeup over) This one is a great addition to my list of Best sunscreens to wear under makeup.
Even if you don’t plan to wear makeup over this sunscreen, it’s great to be used alone. It has a smooth matte finish that would work for all skin types including combination to oily. Another plus is that the formula is also water resistant (80 minutes) for active lifestyles! And most importantly, I’ve had no breakouts after wearing this stuff for 7 days in a row, so it’s definitely a keeper for my acne-prone skin! Adding it to the list of Best Sunscreens For Acne-Prone Skin as well.
At $49 for 1.7 oz, it’s a bit pricey, but if you haven’t yet found your go-to favorite sunscreen for face, PCA Skin Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is absolutely worth trying…your skin will thank you! It’s the perfect solution to all your sunscreen gripes! Pick it up from pcaskin.com or Dermstore.com
