I purchased the Femme Couture Mineral Effects baked eye color in Jumpin Java a few weeks ago at Sally Beauty Supply. Although I haven’t heard of this makeup brand before, I picked this up as the colors looked so pretty in the pan. This baked eyeshadow is a bit pricey at $9.99 but I thought I’d give it a shot and would return it if I didn’t like.
The consistency of this baked eyeshadow duo is really smooth and the colors blend easily. The lighter shade is a medium beige with a hint of gold and the second color is a dark bronzey-brown. Both the shades are very shimmery but there is hardly any fallout and they do not look sparkly on lids. The color payoff is pretty good with a primer and easy to build up. The beige color appears as a lovely shimmery champagne with a nice metallic finish on my lids (it applies quite sheer if I skip primer though). The lasting power is excellent and the colors stayed put for a good 7 – 8 hours on my slightly oily lids. I haven’t had any issues with creasing or fading even without a primer (for both colors). Here are the swatches….the beige color doesn’t look as vibrant in the swatch as it does on my eyes.
Overall, I am pleased with the Femme Couture baked eyeshadow duo as the colors come out so pretty and the formula is nicely pigmented and long wearing. They are a little over-priced but I would love to grab more shades when they are on sale. I am not sure if you can get this brand anywhere else beside Sally Beauty Supply. If you are a fan of shimmery neutral eye colors like me, I suggest you give this eyeshadow duo a try!

I’m a big fan of neutral shades. I’m not familiar with the brand as well. It’s good that it doesn’t crease. For the life of me, I hate it when eye shadows crease! lol

Nice review. I haven’t tried anything by Femme Couture yet but if it’s long lasting and it doesn’t crease, why not?
