There’s a lot of emphasis on beauty tips for women, but men can definitely use some help to look their best too.
Tip # 1: Moisturize your skin
If you want your skin to look good, you have to take care of it. Moisturizing your skin is very important and one of the easiest things you can do for your skin. If you regularly spend any time outdoors, consider a moisturizer that includes SPF to protect yourself from premature aging caused by sun exposure.
Tip # 2: Groom your eyebrows
A unibrow doesn’t really look good on anyone, so make sure you don’t have one. Tweeze regularly to keep stray hairs at bay. It’s easiest to tweeze when the hair is softened after a hot shower or after washing your face with warm water. If the pain is bothersome, you can hold an ice cube on the area you plan to tweeze for a minute or two before starting. Also, if your eyebrows are really big and bushy, you can trim the hair with a small pair of scissors. Simply brush your brow hairs up with a toothbrush so you can see the longest hairs and trim them. Start by taking just a little length off, then brush your brows back into their normal position to check the length. You can always trim more if needed, but if you take too much off, you be waiting for your brows to fill back in, which can take weeks.
Tip # 3: Don’t be shy of cosmetics
Even if you don’t want anyone to know you’re wearing it, you can benefit from makeup. Concealer can be used to camouflage imperfections like acne, dark under-eye circles, birthmarks, or almost anything that you’d rather not have on your face. Just apply to desired areas, blend well, let set for a couple minutes, blot with a single ply of tissue to absorb any excess oil, and then set with powder. This will ensure your concealer will stay put.
Tip # 4: Shave or maintain your facial hair
If you are going clean shaven, shave at least once a day to take care of stubble. Use a good quality shaving cream or shaving soap, and shave slowly with the grain of the hair to avoid ingrown hairs. If you’re prone to ingrown hairs, consider lathering up with a shaving brush. The brush exfoliates gently as you lather up which helps to prevent ingrown hairs. If you are growing a beard, moustache, or goatee, maintain it by trimming it regularly.
Tip # 5: Treat your face to some spa time
You don’t have to go to an expensive spa to improve your skin. If you have any specific problems with your skin, there’s likely a treatment mask that will help. Keep in mind that you should generally avoid peel-off masks as they tend to grab hair, which you likely have more of than most women. Stick with the mud and clay type masks that you rinse off after 15 minutes. Your skin will thank you.

Hi Harshleen, great post! I agree that men should focus more on skincare. What kind of face wash product would you recommend?
Harshleen Kaur says
You can choose a face wash depending on your skin type….oily, dry or sensitive. I like Neutrogena brand face cleansers!
