Schick is all set to revolutionize women’s shaving with the introduction of their new Schick Hydro Silk razor – hitting stores end of January 2012. The uniquely designed razor is the result of seven years of extensive research and promises to “deliver an experience far beyond just an incredibly close shave, and actually care for the skin by replacing moisture shaving can take away”
Key features of the Schick Hydro Silk razor include :
- A special water-activated moisturizing serum that hydrates to replenish skin’s natural moisture throughout each shave. It’s infused with nourishing marine extracts and rich shea butter.
- 5 Curve-Sensing blades with unique Skin Guards work together to smooth your skin as you shave and help protect your sensitive skin from irritation.
I have never been very fond of using shaving razors mainly because of the hard to escape nicks and cuts and finally switched to using an epilator. So, when I got the new Hydro silk razor to try out, my expectations were not very high even though the innovative features like water-activated moisturizing serum and skin guards on top of each blade sounded quite promising. But now that I have used it for a while, I am pleasantly surprised that I have nothing bad to say about it! The Hydro Silk is actually a lot better than your average razor and delivers a silky-smooth shave without being rough on your skin. Because of the built-in moisturizing serum that activates with water, I can even skip shaving cream without leaving my dry, sensitive skin stripped of essential moisture. The razor has 5 blades that flow smoothly over skin resulting in a really close shave sans irritation. The soft aqueous handle is also very lightweight and ergonomically designed with a soft rubber grip.
Overall, Schick Hydro Silk razor has been a delight to use. I’d say it’s definitely worth trying for a smooth, irritation-free shaving experience!
The Schick Hydro Silk razor for women will be available in January 2012, priced at $9.99 for the razor and $14.99 for a 4-count refill at supermarkets, drug stores and mass market retailers nationwide.
