I had been looking for an effective (and preferably natural) eye makeup remover, so when I came across the Boots Botanics Organic Nourishing Eye Make Up Remover at my local Target a few weeks ago, it appeared to fit the bill. Let’s see if it really met my expectations…..
From Boots :
This luxurious eye make up remover melts into the skin, easily removing eye make up and leaving skin cleansed, smooth and velvety soft. 93% Organic.Glycerin helps to retain the skin’s moisture levels while Olive Oil and Jojoba Oil nourish and moisturise the skin leaving it feeling soft.
Ingredients – Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil (Certified Organic), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil (Certified Organic), Glycerin (Certified Organic), Water, Sucrose Stearate, Sucrose Myristate
Boots Botanics Organic Nourishing Eye Make Up Remove has the consistency of a soft gel, packaged in a squeeze tube. The application is a bit different than the usual eye makeup removers – First, you squeeze a small amount of the product on your fingertips and then gently smooth it over closed eyelids and eyelashes for a few seconds. As it dissolves your makeup and mascara, add some water and wipe it away with a damp cotton wool.
I am happy to report that it takes off all eye makeup with ease without any tugging or pulling the delicate skin around eyes. I don’t wear waterproof mascara so not sure about its efficacy for that stuff but for all the other makeup (eyeliner, primer, eyeshadows, mascara), it works like a charm! The product doesn’t sting or irritate nor does it leave the skin dry/tight afterwards. In fact, the skin feels soft without a sticky/greasy residue. I have to tell you that I can’t stand to feel a heavy, oily film on my lids after using eye makeup remover so this is a big plus point for me. It also doesn’t give me the momentary clouded vision that’s typically the case after using oil-based removers.
I am impressed by the short ingredient list (free of harsh chemicals and fragrance) with olive oil and jojoba oil as the main ingredients, that makes it suitable for even the most sensitive of skin. This eye makeup remover retails for $6.99 (2.5 oz) which I think is quite reasonable for a natural product free of obscure chemicals. Plus you don’t need a lot to get a full eye of makeup off.
If you are looking for a natural, oil-based eye makeup remover with an affordable price tag, Boots Botanics Organic Nourishing Eye Make Up Remover won’t disappoint. Good stuff Boots!

Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time
selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is
because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely
unique. P.S My apologies for
getting off-topic but I had to ask!
