Being an ardent fan of sulfate-free haircare products for my wavy, color-treated, perpetually dry (and also frizzy) hair, I am always on the look out for the next best thing in SLS (aka Sodium Lauryl and Laureth Sulfate) free haircare.

My latest discovery is DermOrganic – a vegan, cruelty free and argan oil infused haircare line that contains no sulfates, artificial preservatives, parabens, glycols or dyes. From the shampoo cleansers made from essential fatty lipids and amino acids, to conditioners blended with vegetable proteins, to treatments rich in natural moisture factors and lipid-rich emulsification systems, DermOrganic products are formulated using only good-for-you naturally-derived ingredients that are synergistic to your hair & skin health and vitality.

 

Let’s start with the Daily Conditioning Shampoo – This is a 100 percent sulfate-free formula yet creates a rich luxurious lather that won’t disappoint even if you are addicted to richly foaming shampoos. Enriched with Argan oil (with Omega-6), Panthenol B5, Rice Keratin and antioxidant plant extracts, not only is the shampoo gentle on your tresses and scalp but also preserves the life of your hair color. It leaves my hair squeaky clean without stripping the natural oils and rinses out easily. While I really like this shampoo overall, I feel it’s not moisturizing enough for my hair that is a little too parched these days.

 

DermOrganic Intensive Hair Repair Masque – This one is my favorite! What I really love about this masque is that I need to leave it on for only about 2-3 minutes for intensive deep conditioning. So, I have been using it as a regular conditioner every time I wash my hair and rinse it out as I finish up my shower. It really works well to nourish and soften my thirsty hair and because it’s made without silicone, propylene glycol or glycerin I can use it as often as desired for silky smooth hair without fear of buildup. And it smells great too! Just like the shampoo, the formula is also safe for color treated hair.

 

DermOrganic Leave-in Treatment  – Formulated to smooth and soften, speed up drying time and protect hair from thermal styling, this leave-in formula makes it so much easier to brush through and detangle (with a wide tooth comb) my clean damp hair and I love how silky it makes my hair feel once its dry! I appreciate that it doesn’t weigh down my strands or make my hair greasy even if I happen to use a little too much. It also tames frizz very well! I am just not very fond of its bitter almond like scent but thankfully, it doesn’t stick around for long.

 

 

Overall, I am really impressed with DermOrganic haircare products! Whether your hair is colored, chemically treated or processed, damaged from heat styling or sun drenched, DermOrganic has what it takes to restore moisture and pamper stressed tresses. Available at dermorganic.com and Ulta.
