Today I have more Jane iredale goodness to share! I am talking about the two new shades of Lip Fixation – Craze (a flirtatious coral) and Compulsion (a flattering mauve) from the Magic Hour collection for Spring 2014.

This two-sided lip duo from jane iredale does double-duty, combining the staying power of a stain with the hydration of a gloss. Packed wtih good-for-you natural botanicals, the stain actually soothes and pampers lips providing buildable coverage without feathering or drying; designed to layer atop the stain or use on its own, the moisturizing gloss delivers subtle shimmer and long-lasting shine.

This is a dual ended long-wearing lip color with the option to add a shiny, glossy finish. Each Lip Fixation boasts a lip stain and lip gloss in complementary colors. The lip stain formula goes on super smooth with a great color payoff. It really lives up to its claim of comfortable, buildable coverage without accentuating lips dryness. After you’ve applied the stain, just wait 30 seconds for it to dry and then top it off with the gloss. The lipgloss formula is quite sticky but nicely moisturizing and wears very well without a heavy, tacky feel on the lips. It adds a lovely, glossy shine to the lips with a subtle vanilla scent. The color stays on my lips for about 5 hours before I have to reapply.

Compulsion is a beautiful mauve shade for an everyday neutral lip while Craze is a gorgeous pinkish-coral that instantly brightens up your look…just perfect for spring! You can skip the gloss to maintain the matte look but I love adding a sheer layer of lipgloss to both colors for a subtle golden hue. Here are the lip swatches :

Clocking in at $30 each, the Lip Fixation is defintely on the pricier side of things but overall, it does get my stamp of approval. The formula is pretty good and they have a great variety of colors available worth checking out…..take a peek to see if anything catches your fancy!
