With more than a dozen beauty subscription boxes out there, it can be hard to decide which one is the best deal for you. Wantable is definitely one of the best I’ve tried! To recap for those of you not familiar with Wantable – The service delivers 4 to 5 full-size premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences and each box is valued at $80 and up. The subscription runs at $36/month, or you can purchase a single box for $40. Subscriptions are monthly and can be skipped, paused or canceled at anytime, no strings attached. And if you don’t like what you get, send back your box for a full refund, no questions asked.
I reviewed a Wantable Makeup box last summer and loved it! They have recently introduced a new selection of brands and products and being a beauty junkie, I am always open to new makeup discoveries! So let’s see what I got this time around….
MiA BelleZZA Luxury Trio Eyeshadow Color in Browny ($24.50) While I’m a neutrals loving gal, I admit it was a bit disappointing to see this standard neutral eyeshadow trio simply because I already have so many neutral eyeshadows in my collection. That said, I still tried it out and liked the texture and color payoff of eyeshadows and they also last through all day.
LAQA & Co. Fat Lip Pencil in Bossy Boots ($18) – This is a nice lip crayon with a smooth formula that glides on easily. Bossy Boots is a sheer berry color that would look great on all skintones. Wear time is your usual balm type of wear with about two hours or so. It’s a pretty good product overall but I would have liked it even more if the formula was a bit more hydrating….it doesn’t dry out my lips but isn’t moisturizing enough for me.
GlamNatural Mineral Eye Pencil in Midnight ($25) – Now we’re talking! I love GlamNatural products so it was great to see this all-natural pencil eyeliner in the box (a girl can never have too many eyeliners!). It’s really good and I love that it actually did quite well on my waterline so this one is definitely a keeper for me!
Medusa’s Makeup Eye Dust ($14) : This is a 100% mineral pigment eyeshadow. I got two shades Bronze age and Sahara. Both are vibrant, shimmery bright shades but Bronze Age is definitely my favorite of the two that I will be using a lot this summer! The information card suggests applying your shadow before the foundation so you can clean up any fallout.
Overall, Wantable has pleased me again! The total value of this box was $82 which is great. I like the idea of trying makeup products (all full-sized) from well-known companies as well as being introduced to lesser-known and indie brands, bundled together in one box. My only disappointment this month was the fact that I received 2 eyeshadows products out of 4 items. I wish they had included a blush or complexion product instead of that.
If you’d like to give Wantable makeup box a try for yourself (which I highly recommend!), check out their website at Wantable.com and sign up! And if you are more interested in fashion accessories or stylish intimates, Wantable also offers an Accessories Box and Intimates box that work about the same way as makeup : 4-5 boutique accessories or premium essentials that fit your style, valued at $80-100. And you can switch between the boxes according to your choice!
