Prestige Cosmetics Total Wear Shadow Sticks Review and Swatches

New for Spring 2014, Prestige Cosmetics Total Wear Shadow Sticks are chubby eye pencils that can be used as an eye shadow or eyeliner. Just like the recently launched Total Intensity Color Rush Eyeshadows, these eyeshadow sticks are available in 6 different shades ranging from bright, fun colors such as blue, green and purple to everyday staples such as gray and taupe.

Let’s take a look at the 3 shades I tried : Desert Delusion, Purple Rain and Jungle War.

As with any eyeshadow stick, these are super easy to apply for an all over wash of color or you can also use them as a colored base for other shadows and of course as an eyeliner. They have a creamy smooth formula that glides on effortlessly across the skin and blends out easily. Just be sure to blend it out fast, like within a minute because once it sets, it stays put. The color payoff is excellent and easy to build up for more pigment and coverage. The formula is truly long-wearing, waterproof and lasts all day (I tested it out for 10+ hours) – no smudging, creasing or fading.

Purple Rain – This purple stunner is definitely my favorite of the bunch! I love using it as an eyeliner (a thicker line) for a rich yet subtle pop of color. It also makes for a fabulous base for a sultry smoky eye…..it’s a keeper!

Desert Delusion is a bronzey-copper, a nice everyday neutral shade.

Jungle War is a beautiful dusty green that looks great as an eyeliner, smudged into the lash-line or as an all-over the lid color for a soft smoky eye.
