The formula is a bit thicker but has a lightweight, non-greasy feel, spreads and absorbs easily, and soothes your skin with advanced anti-aging ingredients. It does leave a slight white cast though. It is suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin and is also available in SPF 30 version.

Safe Harbor Face and Neck Cream SPF 40 with Natural Anti-aging Complex ($7.99 for 3 fl oz) – This purely physical sunscreen has a lot going for it, including solid broad-spectrum protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays from zinc oxide (3.5%) and titanium dioxide (12.35%), lightweight, antioxidant-rich formula that moisturizes nicely without a greasy feel. The only drawback is the noticeable white cast it leaves on my skin. It’s still worth consideration if you are looking for a gentle, natural formula that’s also affordable, but doesn’t quite qualify as the best option.

Safe harbor Baby & Kids SPF 50 with Natural Moisturizing Complex ($7.99 for 3 fl oz) – Formulated especially for children’s young and tender skin, it includes 100% naturally sourced chemical-free sunscreen actives, along with gentle moisturizing nutrients such as jojoba oil, chamomile, lemon balm to protect and nourish growing skin. This one is also lightweight, absorbs quickly but does leave a slight white cast like the other formulas in the range. It has no fragrance, phthalates, petrochemicals, parabens or any other nasties so you can slather it on your little ones without any concerns….it’s all good stuff!
