With my sensitive and breakout-prone problematic skin, I always make sure to cleanse my skin well daily to keep my complexion as clear as possible. The latest addition to my cleansing routine is Foreo LUNA that I’ve been using for a few weeks now and LOVED it right from the start…
Foreo LUNA is an innovative facial-cleansing device that uses up to 8,000 T-Sonic™ pulsations per minute to effectively deep cleanse the skin with ultra-soft and smooth rounded silicone touch-points that are totally nonabrasive and gentle even for sensitive skin types (unlike the oscillating brushes of standard facial-cleansing devices). Foreo LUNA is available in 3 models tailored to cater to specific skin types. I have the pink LUNA, which is for Sensitive/Normal skin, and the other options are LUNA for Combination skin, Ultra-sensitive skin and there’s also a LUNA for Men.
I am seriously in love with my LUNA! The first thing I really like is that it feels so much gentler on the skin than the other facial sonic-cleansing brush devices I’ve used before. The smooth and soft silicone brush is nonabrasive enough for daily use. They recommend using the Foreo LUNA for 2 minutes each morning and evening but I’ve been using it only once daily (I just like to go easy with my skin!) and there have been no sensitivity issues at all.
To use the device, simply apply your facial cleanser, wet the LUNA brush surface and turn it on. The directions recommend to use it for about 15 seconds on each area of your face and it really feels like a gentle facial massage. There are + and – buttons to increase or lessen the intensity of the vibrations as needed. After you are done cleansing the face, just turn around the device and apply the reverse surface to wrinkle-prone areas in lower-frequency Anti-Aging Mode. It’s that simple!
The Foreo LUNA is completely waterproof so I actually keep mine in the shower which is so convenient. I also really like that it’s super easy to clean and lasts up to 450 uses from a single charge! Another great thing about LUNA is that it’s silicone design is nonporous to resist bacteria buildup, and has been shown to be way more (up to 35x) hygienic than standard sonic-cleansing brushes. Best of all, Foreo LUNA requires no replacement brushes, which is one of the biggest selling points for me.
The Foreo LUNA has definitely earned a permanent spot in my skincare routine. I love how clean, smooth and refreshed my skin feels after using it. Not only is the LUNA gentle (yet so effective) on my sensitive skin but is also so much easier to care for, has a compact design and doesn’t require any replacement brushes every few months. This looks like such a good product, interesting twist from the clarisonic too, shame I’m so lazy with beauty gadgets! If I was better with my skin care routine I would definitely look into getting more electronical skincare gadgets x
