FusionBeauty LipFusion Plump & Shine Lipstick is a lip-plumping lipstick designed to increase lip volume while preventing feathering to provide long-lasting wear.
Available in 12 shades, this lipstick comes packaged in a mirrored barrel featuring a see through window displaying the color located at the bottom of the tube.
Key ingredients:
Expand-A-Somes: Microscopic lipid spheres boost the natural lipid content found in lips by embedding in between lip tissue ultimately building firmness and volume, giving lips a fuller, youthful look.
Organic Green Coffee Oil: Restores lipids and rehydrates lips; increases elastin and collagen production for fuller lips; protects against UV damage.
Shea Butter: Moisturizes and smoothes lips
I’m personally not into lip plumpers myself, because I do like my natural lip size (and also I don’t like lip plumpers that hurt my lips with a strong tingling sensation! ), so I don’t often seek out anything that’ll fatten them up.
Thankfully, this lipstick doesn’t hurt, sting or give lips a bitten feel. I actually didn’t experience a lot of plumping with these lipsticks but none the less like the formula! I tried five shades…
Temptation (coral pink)
Moulin Rouge (cherry red)
Corset (peachy nude)
Tease (Fuchsia pink)
Foreplay (rosy nude-pink)
These lipsticks have a light, creamy texture that glides onto lips easily without a skip. My lips are prone to dryness but these have a smooth and hydrating formula with an even application and finish. They don’t migrate or feather through the two-three hour wear time and keep my lips comfortably moist and soft. Pigmentation is beautiful!
I tried five of the several shades and they all have a creamy satin finish with a soft sheen. Moulin Rouge (cherry red) and Tease (Fuchsia pink) apply almost opaque on a single pass whereas the other three (Temptation, Corset and Foreplay) have a sheer-medium color payoff that’s easily buildable.
My favorites are Temptation and Corset! The formula has a nice, citrusy kind of scent that’s light and pleasant. Here are the swatches :
As I mentioned before, I didn’t have any noticeable plumping in my lips. There’s no tingling either but just a cooling sensation. So, I’d say while the lipstick formula itself is quite nice, if you are looking for a plumper that gives your lips va-va-volume, this one may not be your thing.
Overall, I am delighted by the texture, wear, and pigmentation that LipFusion Plump & Shine Lipstick brings to the table. It does have a high price point ($29) but the luxe, creamy formula is worth a splurge for a shade or two! Available at fusionbeauty.com and beauty.com
