While I still feel like I’m somewhere in my mid-20’s, birthday #36 is less than 3 months away. Now that I am ‘getting older’, I don’t take my skin for granted anymore (like I did in my younger years) and make sure to eat healthy and take my skincare seriously. I already knew that stress, pollution, smoking also affect how our skin ages, but I had no idea that even our geographic location and commute times can play a role in it as well! Well, now I do, thanks to the RoC® Wrinkle Ranking report that unveils how one’s residence impacts their skin health in years to come.
This year, RoC® Skincare partnered with Sperling’s Best Places to reveal the most wrinkle-prone cities in the top metropolitan areas for the year 2040. The 2016 RoC® Wrinkle Ranking study analyzed lifestyle, occupational and environmental influences that directly and indirectly relate to skin damage and those factors were used to determine an overall “Wrinkle Index” score to rank the top U.S. metro areas.
So, where do you see your city on the list? Are you in the top 10? I live in Seattle and it ranks #3 in the projected list of most wrinkle-prone cities in America by 2040. That is shocking to me! Honestly, I was expecting it to be ranked on the lower end as we don’t get a whole lot of sunny days here in Pacific Northwest and the area is so green with its lush forests and majestic mountain ranges! Well, looks like there are so many other lifestyle factors that I wasn’t taking into consideration. No matter what the reasons are, it is an eye opener for me and a good reminder to treat my skin well!
RoC® Skincare has been a leading French skincare brand for more than 50 years, devoted to developing anti-aging products that guarantee visible and lasting results for healthier, younger-looking skin. I’ve been using the RoC® RETINOL CORREXION products for a couple of weeks now and liking it so far!
The RoC® RETINOL CORREXION Line utilizes retinol, which is considered the “gold standard” in anti-aging skincare as it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles while working in balance with the skin’s natural renewal system to improve skin tone and firmness. Because RoC® Skincare understands that retinol is only truly effective in its purest and most stable form, all the RoC® Brand retinol products are packaged in a special aluminum tube that protects retinol from light and air to keep it stable.
The RoC® RETINOL CORREXION Deep Wrinkle Serum is formulated to help visibly reduce fine lines and deep wrinkles while also helping to improve the appearance of discoloration and uneven skintone. I love how lightweight the formula is and absorbs instantly, leaving my skin feeling velvety smooth…no greasiness at all! The texture is perfect even for use under makeup. Many retinol products can leave my dry, sensitive skin irritated and even drier but so far I haven’t had any such issues with this formula.
The RoC® RETINOL CORREXION Eye Cream is especially formulated to even out the look of dark circles and help reduce puffiness while visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes and crow’s feet. This eye cream has a delightfully creamy smooth yet non-greasy texture that just glides on easily and absorbs quickly. The formula is quite moisturizing and doesn’t irritate the delicate eye area. It has been a really nice addition to my night-time skincare routine to fight the signs of aging around my eyes!
RoC® Skincare products can be easily found at your local CVS and Target stores. You can also follow RoC® Skincare on Facebook for more anti-aging skincare tips & product recommendations!
