When it comes to great makeup brushes, they can be really expensive. I don’t mind splurging sometimes because I know they can last a long time with proper care but there’s nothing better than finding excellent quality brushes at an affordable price!
Case in point : EcoTools makeup brushes that are cruelty-free, eco-friendly (recycled, renewable) and easily available at Walmart so you can create beauty in a breeze!
I got the EcoTools Six Piece Starter Collection, which is regularly a $24.95 value, for $10.96, plus a coupon! Right now, Walmart is making it easy to stock up on everything you need to get flawless looks fast with a $2 off on any EcoTools product from Coupons.com. You can find the coupon here.
The Starter Set includes a variety of brushes for an easy everyday look. It comes with a Powder/Blush brush, Concealer brush, Full Shadow brush, Spoolie, and Angled Liner brush.
First off, I’d like to mention that these brushes are handcrafted, 100% vegan and come with a bonus cosmetic bag that can be really handy to protect them while traveling. They’re lightweight yet sturdy with beautifully soft bristles and I like the sleek bamboo handles!
The Powder/Blush brush is a round fluffy face brush that I’ve been using for blush, bronzer and also for applying translucent powder to set my makeup. The bristles are dense, fluffy and flexible that makes sweeping color onto face a breeze!
The Concealer brush can be used not only for concealing under the eyes but also to camouflage small problem areas on the face. I love its super soft bristles that help buff and blend the product without a pokey or scratchy feel. The Shading brush is designed to pack color onto your lids and blend out. The bristles for this one are soft yet stiff that make it easy to pick up color.
The Angled liner brush is great for applying gel liner or cream eyeshadow along the lash line. The angled shape makes it easy to get the product precisely close to the lashes. This one also comes in handy to fill in and shape your eyebrows. And when your brows need a bit of taming, reach for the Spoolie to comb and finish your look!
I also picked up the EcoTools Eye Enhancing Set ($5.97) that is designed with 4 brush heads to shade, define, blend and smudge. This is a lovely little duo of doubled ended brushes that’s all you would need to do your eye makeup! The bristles are soft, the bamboo handles are well made with a nice, smooth natural wood finish.
The shading brush is dense with soft, tapered bristles and works well to apply shadow all over lid. It’s also good for applying shadows wet for a deeper color. On its other end, there’s the thin angled liner brush that’s great for lining the eyes and doing the brows.
The blending brush is designed to eliminate streaks and blend out harsh lines. And it does the job perfectly, helping the shadow colors blend seamlessly with a smooth finish! There’s no scratchy feeling which is especially important for the blending brush because you go back and forth with it!
The other end has a smudge brush that’s short and stiff with soft bristles. It can be used to smudge shadow and liner along the lash line. I use it mostly for smoking out the lash line and placing highlight on the inner corners of my eyes.
Now I want to get my hands on the Ecotools Perfecting Blender Duo that comes with two makeup sponges – a Large Base Blender that’s soft and flexible to create light, buildable makeup look and a Mini Detail Blender that’s firmer for more precise and detailed coverage.
You can easily find EcoTools makeup brushes and sponges in the cosmetic accessories aisle at Walmart. Whether you are just starting with makeup brushes or need to update your collection, there’s something for everyone! You won’t believe how high the quality is for such a low price! And don’t forget to get $2 off any (1) EcoTools product at Walmart from Coupons.com.
