Exhibitionist Lipsticks are already available in cream, demi-matte and metallic shades. And now comes the ultra-matte range that promise a bold matte finish with no cracking or flaking.

I tried 5 shades and all of these are packed with pigment…just one swipe gives you rich color! My favorite ones are 680 The Real Thing (bright red) and 630 Gemini (medium-pink)
I fell in love with that red right off the bat! Just 2 layers give me full-on rocking red that’s perfect for a night out or whenever I’m feelin’ it! If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my festive look wearing this red lipstick.
Now let’s talk about the formula of Covergirl Exhibitionist 24 Hour Ultra Matte Lipstick. Texture-wise, this doesn’t feel like a typical matte lipstick. It goes on with a lightweight, non-dragging, velvety feel. The finish is matte but not ‘ultra-matte’ and I really like that!
I didn’t find the matte formula hydrating but it’s not drying either, as long as I’ve used a lip balm before applying this lipstick (my dry lips always need an extra layer of moisture, especially in the colder months!) The color doesn’t flake or crack and the lipstick wears comfortably without leaving my lips feeling desert-dry as the day goes on.
As for the staying power, these lipsticks are long-wearing but they aren’t completely transfer-proof as promised. The color does transfer to cups or glasses, not too much though and you won’t need a touch up after coffee break (but definitely after lunch!)
Overall, the color holds up well without accentuating dryness. Average wear time is about 5-6 hours. Also, this lipstick has a fairly strong scent but thankfully it doesn’t linger around. Here are the swatches:

Bottom Line
If you’ve been reluctant to wear matte lipstick despite loving the look, Covergirl Exhibitionist 24 Hour Ultra Matte Lipstick is definitely worth picking up at a price that’s nice!
The formula is not super long-wearing but the comfortable, velvet matte finish and excellent color payoff makes it a must-try. Not to mention, the 12-shade lineup is quite nice and you’re sure to find a shade or two you’ll love!
