I have tried a lot of drugstore nail polish removers but never found one that doesn’t dry out my nails. So, after doing a bit of research, I came across some rave reviews on Zoya remove+ as to how it works like a charm without being harsh on your skin. I decided to give it a try and ordered it along with a new Zoya polish (swatch coming soon).
Product Description
Zoya Remove Plus is an award wining, gentle, yet highly effective 3-in-1 nail polish remover, nail prep and nail conditioner. Mild acetone formula clean and prep nails while moisturizing, nourishing and fortifying the nail plate for extended polish wear. Nails are left without a trace of nail lacquer, without streaking or staining, hydrated and ready for a base coat.. Use as a nail plate or nail prep cleaner before applying base coat to significantly increase lacquer wear.
Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover really does what it claims! I soak a cotton pad with Zoya remove+ and swipe it across my nails just a couple of times and the polish is removed thoroughly. Yes, no scrubbing required.
It also takes care of thick formulas and shimmer/glitter nail polish without the extra effort. And there is no staining on the skin surrounding my nails even with dark colors. I used to hate the ‘dehydrated’ look of my nails/cuticles with ordinary removers but Zoya remove+ is gentle indeed and doesn’t leave my nails dry and flaky. I am not a fan of the scent/smell but it’s not so strong that I can’t stand it. Even though this remover doesn’t strip the moisture from my skin, it does have acetone in it so I like to use a moisturizer afterwards. Also, I usually give my nails at least a one day ‘break’ before putting on a new color as it helps to prevent the yellowing of nails.
Now coming back to the product, I got the Big flipper bottle ($10 for 8oz) which is very convenient to use without any mess or spill. You just put the cotton pad on top and press down to saturate it with remover (instead of turning the bottle upside down). The bottle is huge and won’t be in my empties list anytime soon.
The only downside is I have to order this product (or anything Zoya) online and I can’t just pick it up from my local Target. That said, now that I have used this gem, I won’t be without it ever! It is pricey as compared to the rest but totally worth it and won’t disappoint for sure.

This sounds so much better than the cheap stuff I’m using now. I wonder if I can find it here in Canada? Definitely going to try!

Vonnie – Yeah, the high price sucks. I don’t wear polish all the time so I didn’t mind that much. Give it a try sometime!
