Let’s talk about the Smudge sticks for eyes first. The formula is incredibly creamy and pigmented! The eye pencils glide on effortlessly, depositing rich color in just one swipe. The color doesn’t set quickly so there is plenty of time to smudge and blend if you are going for a smokey eye look. As promised, these eye pencils are truly long-lasting and the color doesn’t budge or fade all day long and stays put (even on the lower lash line without migrating and settling into the fine creases under my eyes). The color shows up well on the inner rim/waterline too and lasts well for a good 4-5 hours….and no raccoon eyes!
As a side note, although I normally don’t wear any makeup while going to the gym, I tested out the smudge sticks during my 1-hour Zumba session and they really stood up to the sweat-proof claim! Despite being so long-wearing, the formula isn’t hard to remove at the end of the day and comes off easily with my usual makeup remover.
The only drawback is that the pencils are retractable and can’t be sharpened so if you prefer a very thin line, it’s kind of hard to get that after a few uses.
All the shades are lovely and very wearable, my personal favorites being Golden plum, Venus and Sultry Slate. Here are the swatches for the eye pencils :

Moving on to the three lip pencils, these are just as creamy with a great color payoff. They go on very smoothly and can be used as a liner or to fill in your lips (that’s how I like to use these) before putting on a lipstick or lipgloss on top. If used as a filler, these lip pencils really intensify your lipstick/gloss color and make it last much longer. Plum dandy is a dark plum shade (very pigmented), Prose is nude pink and Whisper is a warm peachy-brown.
