When it comes to skincare, I don’t consider myself a snob but I’m very picky for sure. It’s rare that a skincare product comes along and really knocks my socks off! Amarte Eyeconic Eye Cream has done exactly that!
What makes this eye cream stand out from the rest? Eyeconic boasts of 3.8% stabilized retinol and is the first product in North America to offer this retinol potency – all contained in a gentle, effective and ultra-elegant formulation that delivers noticeable results.
Product Description

This anti-wrinkle rejuvenator delivers high levels of enhanced-stability pure retinol with nano-encapsulated epidermal growth factor while giving vitality and resilience to your eyes without irritation. Nourishing, hydrating, and promoting elasticity are all part of what makes it so caring and downright supportive.
Ingredients: water, glycerin, Argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil, retinol 3.8%, butylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, adenosine, allantoin, elemental sulfur, human oligopeptide-1 (EGF 2-nano), Ginkgo biloba nut extract, Myristica fragrans (nutmeg) kernel extract, Syzygium aromaticum (clove) seed extract, Eucalyptus alba leaf extract, Citrus paradisi (grapefruit) seed extract, arginine, dimethicone, stearic acid, caprylic/capric triglyceride, carbomer, sorbitan sesquioleate, lauric acid, glyceryl stearate/PEG-100 stearate, PEG-40 stearate, self-emulsifying glyceryl monostearate, disodium EDTA, phenoxyethanol

I’ve been using the Eyeconic Eye cream for the past three weeks and despite the formula being super-charged with retinol, there are no signs of flaking, dryness or any kind of irritation around my eyes. I use it only in my night time routine but according to Amarte, Eyeconic can actually safely be used twice daily, with a very low potential for irritation. How awesome is that?
Texture wise, this eye cream has a rich & creamy yet totally non-greasy formula that absorbs right away and thanks to argan oil, it adds great moisture without a heavy/ tacky feel or stickiness. Also, it has a pleasant and unique mild scent that’s 100% natural and dissipates soon after application. As for the results, I have noticed a definite improvement in the form of less fine lines, overall smoother skin around the eyes, and reduced discoloration/dark circles.
Bottom Line
Amarte’s Eyeconic eye cream has definitely earned a permanent spot in my skincare regimen…I’m looking forward to kissing my fine lines good bye thanks to the power of retinol combined with argan oil! Clocking in at only $51 for 0.7 oz (as compared to 0.5 oz for most eye creams in the same or even higher price range), this one is absolutely worth picking up for your delicate eye area that surely needs extra care and attention!

Hmm, really curious about this product! I just started using Poetry in Lotion by DermaDoctor a couple of weeks ago, and I’m doing the every other night routine. It has made me quite sensitive to the products I use during the day and on the other nights, but I think it’s getting better. I haven’t been using PIL on my eyes, and was wishing for a product that I could use there. One question: I’m a contact lens wearer, and I have a few eye products that migrate into my eyes during the course of the day and end up ruining my contact lenses with a film. Does this product stay put? Also, I know you got a press sample but is it in stores anywhere or just online? I’d love to be able to check it first. tyvm

Allison – I haven’t used this eye cream during the day as I tend to avoid retinol based formulas during daytime so I am not sure about the migration part but as I said in my review, I had no irritation issues and I love it! As for the availability, it’s only available online for now.
