NYX, Wet n’ wild and Revlon are some of my favorite drugstore brands for eyeshadows. In this post, I am reviewing Revlon Luxurious Color Satin Eyeshadow singles in Polished Bronze & Nude Slip. These two neutral shades are perfect for everyday wear or whenever you are in the mood for an easy, natural look.
Polished bronze is a color very true to its name – It’s a beautiful bronze color with a soft golden sheen. The shimmer is not over-the-top and there is no fallout or anything. It’s a flattering all over lid color that you can pair with a black/brown eyeliner for a natural look and be ready and out the door in a few minutes flat. Here is a swatch:
The second shade is Nude slip and I would describe it as light brown with slight pink/mauve undertones. It has a lovely sheen too and works beautifully as MLBB (my lids, but better) shade for me. It’s just perfect for when you don’t want to look like you are wearing a lot of makeup. Sometimes I also use a light layer of this color as a base for bright shades and it does a good job without creasing!
The Revlon luxurious color satin eyeshadows are nicely pigmented and truly have a satin finish with a soft shimmer. I love the velvety soft texture and they just glide smoothly onto lids. The lasting power is pretty good even without a primer but they usually last almost all day with an eyeshadow primer. The packaging is decent and I never had any problem with it. They retail at most drugstores for $4.99 a piece but you can always grab them at half the price in one of the BOGO sales!
