In today’s post, I am talking about 5 drugstore haircare products I’ve been loving lately. These drugstore delights are anything but basic!
These are not all new products but I just discovered them recently and they quickly earned a spot in my haircare routine—and they might deserve a place in yours, too!
Dove 10-in-1 Intensive Repair Serum Mask ($9.99) – This deep conditioning hair mask works like a charm for my dry, damaged hair! It has a creamy texture that spreads easily but doesn’t feel very rich so initially I wasn’t sure if it would be a good fit for my perpetually dry hair. But it actually does what it says and leaves my hair feeling so soft and healthy!
Garnier Diamond Sleek Shine Coat Smoothing Spray ($8.99) – Infused with vegan keratin + argan oil, this heat protectant spray (up to 450°F) leaves my hair so smooth and shiny after blow drying! The heat-activated formula is very lightweight with a super fine mist and doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy, sticky or weighed down.
L’Oreal Everpure Bond Repair Concentrate ($12.99) – This pre-shampoo treatment is designed for damaged, color-treated hair like mine and helps to repair and strengthen hair. I have only used it a couple of times so far and feel like it really makes a difference in the texture of my hair. And I like that it only needs to be applied for 5-10 minutes on damp hair, prior to shampoo. I tend to skip treatments that need a longer waiting time of 30-45 minutes (like Olaplex) so I know I will be using this one regularly!
Saltair Santal Bloom Hair Oil ($14.99) – Formulated with babassu and argan oil, this nourishing hair oil does a great job of smoothing frizz and adding weightless hydration. I use it on my damp hair after washing, avoiding the roots. It’s very lightweight and absorbs easily while improving the overall look and feel of my hair. Also, the Santal Bloom scent is lovely with notes of soft sandalwood and sheer amber. It leaves my hair smelling so good!!
Matrix Mega Sleek Anti-Frizz Topcoat Smoothing Serum – This lightweight leave-in treatment serum really helps tames frizz and gives my hair long-lasting smoothness, especially in humid conditions. It’s also a heat-activated formula and offers 450°F heat protection. I really like the scent too!
