Hello everyone, with the New Year just two days away, I thought it would be a good time do a post about my favorite beauty products from 2011. All of these newly discovered loves were released in 2011 except the last one in the list. Well, I am really excited to share my love for all these fabulous products…….let’s get started!
Tarte Glow your way to gorgeous 8-pc Maracuja & Clay Collection – It was undoubtedly the best makeup collection purchase for me this year! Although I LOVE everything in this fantastic eight piece set, the LipSurgence natural lip luster in Sweet has become one of my top favorite lippies and the emphasEYES Amazonian clay waterproof cream eyeshadow in shimmering taupe is simply gorgeous! The set also includes a Maracuja Creaseless concealer, smolderEYES Amazonian clay waterproof eyeliner in Fig, Tarte’s pure Maracuja oil and two makeup brushes – All of it for just $54.96 from QVC.com. It’s a steal!!
Milani Baked blush – When Milani introduced these new baked blushes early this year, the beauty blogosphere went gaga over these baked pretties……for a good reason of course! These blushes are highly pigmented, easy to blend and, once applied, the color lasts really well for at least five to six hours. I bought the shade Rose D’oro which is a beautiful coppery rose with golden shimmer and love the way it makes my cheeks glow! There are total 9 shades of Milani baked blushes to choose from, all of which are stunning and pigmented and later I also got Dolce Pink (shimmery pink).
Covergirl NatureLuxe Silk foundation – This is one of the best liquid foundations I have tried this year. Aptly named, it has a wonderful, creamy texture yet feels lightweight and perfectly natural on my skin. The formula blends easily with a dewy, satin finish and gives me light to medium coverage. It is also fairly long-lasting and keeps my dry skin moisturized.
Revlon Colorburst Lip butters – Revlon has come out with yet another winner with these new Colorburst lip butters. Apart from an emollient yet lightweight formula that does a great job of keeping dry lips moisturized, these lip butters have a good color payoff with a glossy finish. Available in lots of different shades, these lippies are totally worth picking up!
Avon Glimmersticks Liqui-Glide Eyeliner – These are not the most pigmented eyeliners I have tried but I find myself reaching for these all the time for a soft, everyday look. The soft tip glides on smoothly depositing color in one gentle swipe (which makes it so easy to get a thin line) and although not waterproof but once on, they’ll stay put for the entire day. Another advantage is that these retractable eyeliner pencils do not need sharpening which is always a plus point in my book!
Urban Decay Naked palette – One of the best selling eyeshadow palettes ever…..why didn’t I get it sooner? With 12 neutral shades in shimmer, satin and metallic finishes, this is an amazingly beautiful palette worth all the rave! As you probably know, Urban Decay has also released a Naked 2 now which seems to be better suited for cooler skintones.
So, here is my favorites list! What makeup and beauty products have made their way into your beauty routines this year?
