Prestige Cosmetics Vanity Flair Eyeshadow Palette is a new release from the brand for Fall 2012. This lovely little eyeshadow kit designed like a vanity comes with nine eyeshadows, a mirror and a dual-sided sponge applicator.
From Prestige Cosmetics :
A vanity is a glamorous sanctuary where you can go to use your favorite products to bring out your inner beauty. Prestige Cosmetics’ Vanity Flair Eyeshadow Kit is your very own eye palette where you can mix and match different textures and shades to create a unique eye look just for you. With a complete range of nine shades, there are unimaginable possibilities right at your fingertips.
Isn’t the packaging adorable? The ‘doors’ of the vanity shaped palette are held together with a sturdy magnet and open up to reveal the nine shades of eyeshadow inside.
Texture wise, the eyeshadows are velvety soft and apply smoothly. Most of the shades have some shimmer but the formula is refined and not sparkly on the eyes. However, a few shades do appear to be a bit frosty. Also, I did get a bit of fallout with the two shades that had micro glitter, but not so much to complain about. The color payoff is pretty good (used over a primer). These shadows wear nicely all day without any creasing or fading. Here are the swatches :
Chick Flick (medium purple)
Show-Off (shimmery greyish-taupe)
Knockout (shimmery orange-ish copper)
Girls Night (pale pink with silver micro-glitter)
Bauble Blues (metallic light blue)
Cocktail Ring (metallic golden bronze)
String of Pearls (metallic cream/gold)
Taupe Notch (matte brown taupe)
Shopping Spree (light green with silver micro-glitter)
My favorites in the palette are Show-off and Knockout that make a great combo together! Show off can be sheered out for a soft look or applied with a heavier hand for a more smoky look. Another of my favorite is Cocktail Ring that’s a versatile, universally flattering shade with a lovely sheen. Shopping Spree (green) is nice too!
Bottom Line – At just $15, Prestige Cosmetics Vanity Flair Eyeshadow Palette is a great buy! The kit offers a nice variety of colors with a mix of soft pastels and deeper shades to create a range of looks from day to night. Available at Prestigecosmetics.com (currently they are offering Free shipping on your entire purchase when you buy the Vanity Flair or Indulge Me palettes)
You can also pick it up at Ulta and Rite Aid stores.
