Back in December, I did a short feature (and giveaway) on three of my picks from the TotalBeauty.com Award Winners 2012. The award categories include Hair, Makeup, and Face & Body. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the TotalBeauty Awards page to see the complete list of winners! Anyways, now that I am back home from vacation and finally got a chance to try these products out, here’s a quick review of each item :
Q-tips Precision Tips ($3.00/170 ct. box) – Q-tips have always been handy little tools in my beauty arsenal and these Precision Tips are even better for those quick touch ups! Whether it’s to clean polish goof-ups around my nails, getting rid of eyeshadow fall-out or cleaning up eyeliner that has migrated south, these are just perfect to fix makeup mistakes in a pinch!
Wella Velvet Amplifier ($16): A styling primer that preps the hair by smoothing the cuticle and adding a nice texture to improve manageability and amplify styling control. The silky, gel-like formula has a soft, flowery scent. You just need to use a single pump of this concentrated serum through damp hair to get your hair ready for smooth styling , then blowdry to achieve your desired style.
NARS The Multiple ($39) – I tried G-Spot which is a gorgeous rose shade with very subtle golden sheen. The color appears to be somewhat dark in the tube but the cream-to-powder formula blends effortlessly to yield a soft, natural finish. I love how easy it is to apply – a few swipes, blend with a finger, and you’re done! It’s perfect for everyday use and the color also stays put for a good five to six hours which is quite impressive for a cream blush formula. Designed as a multi-purpose product, the Multiple can also be used for eyes and lips but I prefer to use the stick only as a blush. That’s because although the formula applies quite smoothly, it’s not moisturizing enough for my dry lips.
Disclosure: This review features a sample product sent for consideration by PR and reflects my honest opinion as always!
