Considered as one of the premier professional lacquer brands in Europe, Alessandro is a German brand that has now been introduced in the US. Their nail polish range consists of 99 shades plus they offer nail and hand care products. I got to try out one of the Alessandro nail polishes – Plum Cake, a dusty lilac shade.
The formula is a bit on the thick side but still easy to work with and applies smoothly without any streaking. I like the wide, flat brush that makes the application easier. I needed two coats to even out and get an opaque coverage. The drying time is just average at about 5 minutes. As for the wear time, I got about 3-4 days without any chipping. Plum Cake is not really my type of color, I think it would look much better on cooler skintones. It has a nice, glossy finish but I added a topcoat to stave off chipping.
