Duri Cosmetics ushers in Spring with their new collection – “The Showstopper” featuring bright, bold hues in shades of pink that pop, muted fluorescents, lush floral tones, vibrant reds and sophisticated neutrals to highlight the cheerful optimism and playfulness of the season. Each color brings a new fresh take on classic shades of red, pink, lavender and nude.
The collection features six new vibrant nail polish shades. They are all cremes with the exception of one, which has a nice shimmer. The formula for most is easy to work with and nicely self-leveling. Depending on the shade, I did either two or three coats because a couple of these were a bit patchy at first. I like that the collection is not just neons but there are some lovely bright yet non-neon cremes also.
The Showstopper collection for Spring 2013 includes :
Satin Treat is a sheer nude with a coppertone sheen, for french manicure. I used two coats here.
Afterhours is a muted lavender with a silver base. It has very subtle shimmer that I like and just two coats.
Call Me Maybe is an icy shade of coral with a semi-florescent finish. It’s thick but also a bit patchy at the same time so I used three coats.
Dream Catcher is a mid-tone pastel in a pinkish lilac hue. Another pretty one and just two coats.
Showstopper is a poppy peony pink with light gold shimmer. It’s my favorite from the collection! Such a happy fun shade. This was also two coats.
One Night Only is a bright deep crimson red. I like this one a lot too! It’s a vibrant red that would look good on all skin tones. I used two coats.
