Murad skincare has launched its first-ever cleansing oil: Renewing Cleansing Oil for face, eyes and lips. This non-comedogenic cleanser is formulated with a nourishing blend of natural botanical oils to gently remove impurities, irritants and makeup while delivering essential moisture to revitalize dull, dry, lackluster skin.
Ingredients : Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-8, Polybutene (Isobutylene/ Butene Copolymer), Polysorbate 20, PEG-10 Sunflower Glycerides, PPG -15 Stearyl Ether, Isostearic Acid, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, C12-15 Alkyl Lactate, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis ( Sweet Almond) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Dipotassium, Glycyrrhizinate, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Linalool, D-Limonene, Citral, Citronellol
How it works:
– Botanical blend of Grape Seed, Pomegranate Seed, Sunflower Seed Oils and Olive Fruit Extract cleanse and renew the skin while easing dryness and restoring suppleness
– Jojoba and Licorice extracts help to improve dry, cracked skin
– Sweet Almond Oil provides the optimal level of moisture to soothe and soften the skin
For those of you hesitant to put oil-based products on your face for fear of clogging pores or causing breakouts, Dr Howard Murad assures that “it’s a misconception. Even oily and acne-prone skin needs moisture – it just needs the right kind.” Not only are cleansing oils ideal for breaking down the hard-to-remove long-wearing products we slather on daily but they also help balance skin’s oil production by maintaining and replenishing skin’s natural moisture barrier.
I use this cleansing oil to do the really dirty work (i.e.take off mineral-based sunscreen, oil-based beauty balm and waterproof eye makeup) before reaching for my toner (or regular facial cleanser if needed). It removes all the makeup and grime quite effectively and is gentle on the sensitive skin around the eyes.
As the directions suggest, I use my fingertips or a cotton ball to apply and gently massage the oil all over dry skin for 30-60 seconds. After that, I use a soft washcloth soaked in warm water to wipe off the oil and makeup and then just rinse and pat dry. It makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated without leaving any icky-sticky residue.
