Focus Hair Care is a new brand of hair care products designed to improve the appearance of thinning and balding hair in men and women. The Los Angeles based company was founded in 2013 and its innovative, easy-to-use products help add volume and body to lifeless locks while helping the hair color stay vibrant.
Focus Hair Care’s Rejuvenating Shampoo and Conditioner are enriched with biotin, silk protein, jojoba oil extract, hemp seed oil, emu oil, argan oil and ginseng root extract to improve scalp condition and promote thicker, fuller hair. Free of parabens and sulfates, the shampoo doesn’t contain the common sudsing agent sodium lauryl sulfate (which can cause hair and scalp dryness) but lathers up nicely. The formula is not as rich and moisturizing as I like for my dry tresses but doesn’t leave my hair feeling stripped. It does live upto its claim of adding body and volume, giving me healthy looking, soft and bouncy hair. As for the conditioner, it has a rich, creamy formula that delivers the necessary moisture with natural herbs and essential amino acids. It detangles, smooths and rinses out easily without weighing my hair down. Both the shampoo and conditioner are safe for chemically treated and colored hair and have a light, clean scent that’s quite pleasant.
In addition to the Rejuvenating Shampoo and Conditioner, the product line also includes Focus Hair Building Fibers which is a unique complex of pure keratin protein. These microscopic hair fibers blend and bond securely with existing hair to produce density and volume and provide total undetectable coverage to thinning and balding areas. Fortunately, I do not have thinning hair (yet!) so I asked one of my buddies to test drive this product for me and she liked the way these fibres fill out her thinning hair spots.
The Fiber application takes only a few seconds…you just apply it like a dry shampoo and then use any hair spray (or the Focus Fiber Bonding Spray) to lock fibers in place. Focus fibers can withstand rain, wind and sweat, and wash out easily with any shampoo. Free of Silica and synthetic dyes, they are available in a variety of hair colors from black to blonde. The one shown below is Medium Brown.
Focus Hair Care is 100% vegetarian, paraben free, sulfate free, gluten free and cruelty-free. The Rejuvenating shampoo & conditioner duo retails for $25 for 12 fl. oz. bottles and the Focus Hair Building Fibers retail for $24.95 for 0.63 oz (52 day supply). The full line of Focus Hair Care products is available for purchase at focushaircare.com and Amazon.com
