Spring Trend: Barely There Lips

When Harshleen brought up the idea of guest posting on her blog, I instantly jumped at the chance. As an avid reader of BeautyTidbits, I am often looking to her site for the current up and coming trends and must have products. After much pondering of what to write about, I decided with the season changing, what better way to bring in Spring than with one of my favorite trends Barely There Lips…

Now that Spring is here, I find myself reaching for a less dramatic lip and opting to go with my neutral-esque like makeup looks. Spring is one of those seasons that just oozes pastels and candy colors whether for the lips or tips. I for one am obsessed with a barely there lip. Always in fashion, a barely there lip can take you from running errands in the daytime to a girls night out with friends to a hot date night with your guy.

Here are a few of my favorites:

L’Oreal Colour Caresse by Colour Riche in Sunset Angora – This is the perfect poppy coral like lippie for Spring. Not too orange, not too pink- just right. Vibrant, sheer color that looks stunning on the lips.

Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade – I am such a huge fan of all the Revlon lip butters! Hydrating on the lips and super lightweight, this light pink shade is perfect for a day of errand running or drinks out with the girls. Almost a sheer nude, this lip shade is perfect to pair with a neutral smokey eye- a la instant glam!

Maybelline Color Elixir by Color Sensation in Nude Illusion – Looking for the perfect ‘your lips but better’ like nude shade? Well, stop searching as this shade is to die for! Perfect on all skintones, this nude is stunning on the lips. With the pigmentation of a lipstick, high shine effect of a lipgloss and hydrating properties of a lip balm – the Lip Elixir formula is AMAZINGNESS in a tube. Perfect glossy nude for Spring.

Rounding out the pack is L’Oreal Color Riche Balm in Pink Satin – This shade is a pale, bubblegum pink that is seriously perfect for Spring. This lip balm continues to hydrate even after the lip color fades. Absolutely gorgeous in shade and looks amazing on the palest of skin to the darkest of skintones. If you’re looking for that perfect babydoll pink- this one is for you.
