Product Description
Glycolic T.L.C. Framboos is a refreshing, hydrating gel that resurfaces dull, congested skin by gently lifting dead skin cells away, revealing an even-toned and radiant complexion. The results include greater clarity, smoother texture and increased collagen formation. Our powerful T.L.C. Framboos™ blend of glycolic, lactic, tartaric, citric and salicylic acids and Raspberry Extract, sinks in easily and delivers the most effective and precise level of chemical exfoliation, without the harsh side effects. Horse Chestnut, Bearberry and White Tea help to calm, brighten and protect. Go from a lifeless complexion to an absolutely luminous one, practically overnight! Suitable for all skin types. The pH level of T.L.C. Framboos™ is 3.8-4.0.
Cruelty-Free. Gluten-Free.
First, let’s take a look at the Key Ingredients :
Glycolic T.L.C. Framboos™ Blend: 12% Glycolic, Tartaric, Lactic and Citric – Exfoliates surface dead skin cells and supports natural surface cellular turnover.
Salicylic Acid– Loosens sebum within the pores and prevents future breakouts.
Raspberry Fruit Extract– Rehydrates and soothes weather damaged skin, naturally dry skin or oily skin with surface dryness.
Nopalex®: Cactus extract that acts as an anti-inflammatory and anti-erythema; meant to calm skin when using topical AHA’s.
Horse Chesnut: An anti-inflammatory that helps strengthen broken capillaries and calm rosacea; has circulation stimulating and capillary repairing properties.
Galactoarabinan: A polysaccharide extracted from larch trees that minimizes fine lines, acts as a gentle exfoliant and inhibits moisture loss.
Phytostem Buddleja Davidii Meristem Cell Culture: Cultured stem cells that regenerate and heal damaged skin. Effective and broad protection from photodamage and oxidative stress. Potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-collagenase properties.
Bearberry Extract: Corrects hyperpigmentation and helps increase cell turnover; natural alternative to Hydroquinone.
Virgin Marula™ Oil: Hydrating oil that protects, heals and rejuvenates skin. High in Antioxidants and Omegas 6 & 9.
Green Tea Leaf Extract: Key antioxidant that provides antibacterial and soothing benefits while preventing free-radical damage.
AHA’s can be irritating if not formulated properly but Drunk Elephant has added a cactus plant enzyme blend that is designed to reduce neuro sensory irritation so this T.L.C. serum gets the job done with little to no redness or stinging. And there are no colorants or fragrances of any kind in this product.
According to Drunk Elephant, you might notice very slight tingling, itching or stinging in the early stages of using this product, but this typically dissipates as your skin becomes adjusted. And that’s exactly what I experienced – there was some mild tingling for the first few days of application but then it was gone. They recommend to start slowly, using the product every other night.
Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum has an ultra-lightweight, gel texture that’s not at all sticky or greasy and absorbs very quickly. A little really goes a long way with this serum – I just need one pump to cover my face and neck. Allow it to dry for a few seconds and follow with your favorite night cream.
You can also use it on your chest and backs of hands to smooth and renew summer-damaged skin. I would also like to mention that this serum hasn’t caused any breakouts and has in fact kept my pimples under control to some extent….and that’s a big plus for me. As you all probably know, since last two years, I have a tendency to breakout especially around my chin/jaw line area.
After using this serum for about 3-4 weeks now, I’m left with smoother skin and clear pores with a healthy glow. I have been using it every other night and it has helped add life back to my dull, no-glow skin leaving it radiant and refreshed. This serum definitely has the potential of being a long-term staple in my nightly regime at this point!
Priced at $90, Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum serum is on the expensive side but totally worth the splurge if you want a gentle yet powerful solution to your summer skin woes – you are sure to get a glowing response!
