First off, I really like the simple and sleek white packaging of the BB Bounce Beauty Balm. The product comes housed in a white compact with a dual compartment. The top compartment features a small mirror and a puff applicator while the second compartment has a soft mesh that dispenses the creamy beauty balm formula as you apply pressure with the included sponge (or your fingertips). The chic compact is practically spill proof and easy to tuck in your purse for on-the-go touchups!
The fragrance-free formula boasts of several beneficial skincare ingredients such as arbutin Pomegranate Extract,hyaluronic acid as well as other antioxidants and mineral actives (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) to deliver broad spectrum sun protection.
Currently, this beauty balm is available in only two shades : Light-Medium and Medium-Dark. I chose the Medium-Dark option and it turned out to be a great match for my medium (NC 25-ish for reference) skin tone. In terms of texture, the BB Bounce Beauty Balm has a rich fluid-cream texture that blends easily and offers medium to almost full coverage with a smooth matte finish. The coverage is easy to build up, looks natural and doesn’t look/feel heavy or cakey on the skin. I usually prefer medium coverage to help even out my skin tone while concealing the dark spots/blemishes and slight redness for a fresh, natural look – and that’s pretty easy to achive with this beauty balm! It also blurs out the large pores on my cheeks quite nicely which is always a big plus!
The coverage is long lasting too and holds up really well throughout the day! I can easily get 7 – 9 hours of wear time, even without a primer. Although the formula is said to be ultra-moisturizing, it looks and feels more matte and stays that way all day….no unwanted shine here so I think this should be a good choice for normal to oily or combination skin types.
