Not a fan of sunscreen? No matter how many times have you been told that SPF should be a part of your daily beauty routine, if you haven’t yet found a sunscreen you like, chances are you are still skipping your daily dose of UV protection.
But the good news is that for every sunscreen excuse you can throw out (it leaves a white cast, it’s greasy, it smells, it makes me break out or look shiny and so on ), Murad’s new Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 has got a solution!
It’s a CLEAR sunscreen that’s invisible on skin! Have I got your attention now?
Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a multitasking formula that provides an anti-aging treatment, SPF moisturizer and makeup primer – all in one step – to blur imperfections and protect while combating the signs of aging.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Avobenzone (2.0%), Homosalate (4.0%), Octisalate (4.0%), Octocrylene (2.0%)
INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Isododecane, Dimethicone/Bis-Isobutyl PPG-20 Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Methicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Phenyl Trimethicone, Diethylhexyl 2,6-Naphthalate, Propylene Glycol Dicaprate, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soy Polyglycerides, C15-23 Alkane, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Cake, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Extract, Octyldodecanol, Octyldodecyl Oleate, PEG -8 Dimethicone, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Alcohol, Hordeum Vulgare (Barley) Extract, Butylene Glycol, Lentinus Edodes (Shiitake Mushroom) Extract, Mucor Miehei Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Silica, Sodium Propoxyhydroxypropyl Thiosulfate Silica, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Solidago Virgaurea (Goldenrod) Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance (Parfum)
The formula has been infused with Mushroom peptides that help diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles by helping aid natural regulation of collagen and elastin, while a soft-focus complex smooths & blurs imperfections for improved tone and texture. The barley oil used in this formula is a naturally gluten-free substance.
True to its name, the Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield is totally invisible on the skin. The formula has a lightweight, silky primer-like texture that just glides on the skin and absorbs super quickly, leaving a velvety smooth matte finish. It’s totally clear so doesn’t leave behind any sort of chalky white cast – perfect for all skintones from pale to dark. There is a light scent that’s quite nice and dissipates soon after application. It really does add a soft- focus kind of effect, softening and blurring out minor imperfections to even out my complexion.
Invisiblur Perfecting Shield acts a great makeup primer and creates a perfectly smooth canvas for applying foundation. Not only that, it also makes my makeup lasts all day with no blotchiness towards the end of the day. I think it’s the best sunscreen for oily skin under makeup!
The formula also provides a light dose of moisture but if I am feeling extra dry, I just use a hydrating serum underneath. My face feels hydrated, but not greasy in any way. With its mattifying properties, I think this would be a great pick for all skin types including combination to oily and also perfect for Men who typically avoid multistep skincare rituals!
My only little gripe about this product is its chemical sunscreen actives. As you guys probabaly know, I prefer physical sunscreens that include zinc oxide and titanium dioxide but this one doesn’t include any of those. That said, it’s still a great product that I really enjoy using and has been pretty good for my sensitive (aka finicky) skin so far!
Bottom Line
Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is perfect for even the most finicky SPF wearers! I love how this product is a true multi-tasker: not only does it blend sunscreen and makeup primer in one but it’s also an anti-aging treatment and instant mattifier! At $65 for 1 oz, it sure is pricey, but if you are looking for the perfect solution to your sunscreen gripes, this one is well worth a try! Pick it up from Sephora, Nordstrom or Ulta
