Summer Foundation Routine

During the dog days of summer, I like to go lighter all over, as in wear less (lighter) makeup, especially when it comes to foundation. I love tinted moisturizers and CC creams for summer. They give you the perfect amount of coverage to look polished and feel like you’re wearing nothing at all!

This summer, I am layering NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 and IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder SPF 50+ to get the perfect natural-looking coverage.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 : This has been my favorite tinted moisturizer since it launched 3 years ago. I fell in love with it the minute I tried it! What makes it my go-to summertime option is its gorgeous finish that gives me a healthy glow without being sparkly or greasy. Not only does it offer natural-looking medium coverage but is also very lightweight with SPF protection and added skincare benefits. It does a good job moisturizing my normal to dry skin without leaving me oily. It’s the perfect coverage option for hot and humid temps! I found my perfect match in the shade St. moritz for my light-medium NC 25-ish skintone.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder SPF 50+ – I use this powder as a finishing touch after the tinted moisturizer to keep shine at bay and it’s great for touch-ups too. The talc-free formula is so lightweight, blends effortlessly and doesn’t give a chalky or overly-matte look, nor does it settle into my fine lines or pores. I brush it all over my face, concentrating on my forehead, nose and chin, then onto my cheeks to and blend it all in. I am pleasantly surprised by how well this works in the heat. I’ve been reaching for it more and more lately!

IT Cosmetics CC+ Eye Physical SPF 50 Color Correcting Concealer – When I need a little extra coverage, I turn to this one! I love the lightweight, super-easy to blend color-correcting formula that beautifully covers up my dark circles and brightens up my tired under eye area while providing great SPF protection! It’s also perfect for concealing dark spots and acne scars. Like all IT products, this product offers great sun protection and packs an added punch with skin-loving ingredients, including hydrolyzed silk, hydrolyzed collagen, niacin and peptides.
