That’s what the new Back to Black Collection from Prestige Cosmetics is all about! The product assortment ranges from liquid to cream eyeliners, pencil eyeliners, mascaras, eyeshadows — all in black, as well as a universal primer pencil and makeup remover pen. All Back to Black products are dermatologically-tested and free of gluten, parabens, GMOs, phthalates, mineral oil, and formaldehyde.

Let’s take a look at some of the products I’ve been trying out :

True Kohl Kajal ($5.50) – This is a long-wear waterproof kajal eyeliner suitable for waterline use. It’s no secret that I am a kajal addict and use it almost everyday so this was the eyeliner I was most excited to try! I love how it glides effortlessly on the waterline with a great color payoff – a rich black with a matte finish. The color stays put for a good 4-6 hours (which is usually how long most eyeliners last on my waterline) Most important, the formula doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes but the best part is that the color doesn’t run out or smudge around the inner corners of my eyes, so I don’t have to worry about messy raccoon eyes at the end of the day! I really think this is a great budget-friendly option if you are looking for a new kohl kajal eyeliner.

Velvety Smoky Eye pencil ($8.99) – This is another long-lasting, waterproof eyeliner with a soft smudging sponge at the other end. It also goes on super smooth without any tugging or pulling and has an ultra black, velvety matte finish. It gives you enough playtime to smudge it out for a soft smoky eye look and is also great for tightlining. Once it’s set, the formula doesn’t budge or transfer all day and is safe for use on the waterline too.

Ultra Slim Eyeliner Precision ($7.99) – This is a retractable, waterproof eyeliner with Micromatic pencil technology that provides ultra precise & extra fine line application with a semi-matte black finish. This is a fantastic option for those who love to draw precise, ultra thin lines on upper and lower lashline. It can also create hair-like lines to fill in gaps in your brows for naturally fuller looking brows. And there’s no sharpening required!

100% Natural Line & Care ($7.99) – Specially designed for sensitive skin, this natural eye pencil consists of plant-derived skin conditioning ingredients including jojoba mango seed and cotton seed oils. It’s a matte black shade that’s safe for waterline use. This one also lasts around 5 hours on my waterline.

Magic Pen ($8.99) – This is an all-in-one primer for the eyes, lips and brows featured in a retractable pencil with sharpener included. This is such a useful product to have! I love using it as a primer for some of my non-waterproof eyeliners to make the color last longer. I also like to use it on the lower lash line to keep my eyeliner from smudging down there. It can also be used to set brows in place and hold brow powder longer. The formula is clear so you won’t have to worry about any white marks.

Makeup Eraser Pen ($8.99) – It’s an oil-free and alcohol free makeup remover pencil with a soft & reversible tip designed to correct & remove makeup from small areas. This is another must-have from the collection! It’s easy to use and fixes makeup mistakes conveniently, such as eyeliner or mascara flyways. You can use the pointed tip for precise corrections or use the curved part for removing smudges on bigger areas. It doesn’t sting or leave any oily/sticky residue behind…I like!

Nightlight Waterproof Eyeshadow Pencil ($7.99) – This waterproof and sweat proof shadow crayon can be used as an eyeshadow or liner. The shade is called Black Pearl – it’s a rich black with barely-there shimmer. It applies smoothly and stays on duty all day or night (I always make sure to use a primer underneath to avoid any creasing or transferring) This is great for smoky eyes, whether you want to keep it subtle or go for a dramatic night-out look!

Starlight Party-Proof Eye Pencil ($7.99) – This is one of my favorites from the collection! It’s a waterproof, shimmery black eyeliner that glides on smoothly and lasts all day without smudging or transferring. The (silver) shimmer is just right and not too much. It can also be used as an eyeshadow but I like to use it only as an eyeliner for just a hint of sparkle on my eyes!

Smoky Eyeshadow Trio ($8.99) – Designed to create a smoky eye look, this eyeshadow trio consists of three shadows in black, gray and ivory. The formula is creamy, smooth and easy to blend with a pretty good color payoff!
