To kick off the sunshine season, Clinique has introduced a few ultra-lightweight makeup and sunny skincare essentials that are perfect even for the sensitive skin types!

I really love this new Super City Block BB Cushion Compact SPF 50 by Clinique! It applies very smoothly and offers great coverage with a lightweight feel. Plus, it has a high SPF provided by mineral sunscreen actives zinc and titanium dioxide rather than chemical sunscreens….a big plus for sensitive skin types! Well, of course, it’s not a good idea to depend only on makeup as your sunscreen but this is great for getting additional SPF protection, especially during summer.

As I said, the coverage is quite nice with a natural-looking finish. It smooths and evens out my skin beautifully while providing great medium coverage for most of the imperfections like dark spots, blemishes and acne scars. The formula is easily buildable and long-wearing too! I use it over moisturized skin as suggested and find the finish to be neither too matte nor too dewy…it’s just perfect, the way I like it! Also, it plays nicely with my acne-prone skin and hasn’t caused any breakouts yet. Another bonus is that the cushion compact so convenient for summer travels…it’s coming with me on my upcoming trip to Europe!

These new Clinique sunscreens are such a great find for mineral SPF fans like me! The Mineral Sunscreen Fluid for Face – both SPF 30 and SPF 50 – has a delightfully lightweight oil-free formula that absorbs quickly, leaving skin smooth, comfortably moisturized and without any white residue. No unwanted shine or greasiness (that most mineral sunscreens have), no sunblock smell as the formula is fragrance-free and also gentle enough to use around the eye area.

The sensitive-skin friendly formula wears beautifully under makeup too and doesn’t leave me oily by lunchtime! It totally lives up to my expectations for a great mineral sunscreen for face. My only quibble is that the 1 oz sunscreen bottle is too small (although travel-friendly) for a daily use product…they need to make it in a bigger value size!

As for the Clinique SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid for Body, the all-mineral formula is just as great as the face sunscreens. It’s lightweight and pampers the skin with a breathable yet moisturizing formula that absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel sticky or greasy on the skin. No white cast either and it’s unscented too. What’s not to love?
