With my dry skin, I have always been a fan of foundations that provide a dewy fresh, radiant finish (not overly glow-y) with natural-looking coverage.
And because my skin is also acne-prone, I like my foundation to have a lightweight breathable formula that provides a nice veil of coverage without a mask-like feel and doesn’t cause any new breakouts.
Yeah, I am picky like that but with a finicky complexion like mine, do I really have a choice?!!
So, does the Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid live up to my expectations? Yes, it does for the most part! And does it well!

Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid comes in a 1fl oz colorfully patterned glass bottle with pump (which is always nice!) I tried the shade Juicy (described as Medium with neutral/neutral red undertones) which is a fairly good match for my skin but I think the next darker shade would be a much better choice.
The formula has a silky-smooth, liquidy lightweight consistency that’s easy to blend, whether applied with your fingertips or a foundation brush. As with any foundation, I wear this one over a lightweight primer or moisturizer with SPF and it doesn’t feel like an extra/heavy layer on my face.
The foundation formula is pretty pigmented and I find that one pump is enough to cover my face and neck. A little goes a long way! As for the coverage, I’d say it smooths and evens out my skin beautifully while providing great medium coverage for most of the imperfections like dark spots, blemishes and acne scars.
The coverage isn’t full but can be layered for additional coverage on problem areas…I don’t feel the need to build up the coverage much, especially now that it’s summer!
I love the satiny finish that looks pretty natural and gives me a subtle healthy-skin glow, without any unwanted shine! It’s definitely not super-dewy on my normal to dry skin, but those with oily skin might feel different.
What I love the most about this foundation is that it stays on practically all day and doesn’t settle into my pores and fine lines. I recently wore it on a super hot and humid day and it lasted really well throughout the day even though I had not used a setting powder.
Another thing worth a mention is this foundation contains argan oil but so far it has worked well for my acne-prone skin and doesn’t aggravate my breakouts. Overall, count me impressed!
