I tried out 4 shades of the Estee Lauder Pure Color Love Lipsticks – Blase Buff (ultra matte), Ripped raisin, Haute & cold (shimmer pearl) and Strapless (edgy creme)
The matte shade Blase Buff (nude pink) has a velvety smooth feel on the lips and delivers rich, vibrant color payoff that’s full coverage. The formula is lightweight, applies very smoothly and has a true matte finish that isn’t uncomfortable or drying at all. I have worn this lipstick quite a few times now and it never left my lips craving for moisture. This shade is also the most long-wearing compared to the other three.

Next, Ripped Raisin (rose toned pink) and Haute & Cold (pinkish red) have a shimmer pearl finish. They have a really nice creamy texture with a super smooth glide on the lips and great color payoff that’s easy to build up. The formula has more of a creme like finish with ultra fine shimmer that adds a hint of shine. Ripped Raisin is my favorite shade out of all these…I love how it adds a pretty pop of pink without being too bold!
Strapless is a berry pink with creme finish. As expected, this one has a delightfully creamy texture (without being too slippery) that glides onto the lips effortlessly. I love how hydrating the formula is while being lightweight! This one is also packed with pigment and provides rich, opaque color with a lovely satin finish. It’s not very long-lasting though and I found the average wear time to be only about 2 hours. But overall, this is a beautiful shade that’s universally flattering, no matter what your skin tone is!
