Packaged in a convenient squeeze tube, Babo Botanicals Daily Sheer Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 30 has a lightweight, creamy fluid texture that applies easily, leaving skin hydrated and dewy-looking. Although the name of this product is tinted face sunscreen, I think it should really be called a tinted moisturizer!
Thanks to its neutral tint, Babo Botanicals Daily Sheer Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 30 doesn’t leave any telltale chalky white cast (that’s typical of most mineral sunscreens). In fact, it offers a hint of natural coverage to even out skin tone. The coverage is sheer and only conceals minor discolorations, yet it really does make my (light-medium) skin tone look so much more even!

Aside from its UV-protecting properties, the fragrance-free formula also boasts of an impressive blend of anti-aging ingredients including antioxidants vitamin C, E and argan oil, plus hydrating hyaluronic acid and sea buckthorn oil, just to name a few!
Being a dry skin gal, I love the sheer luminous glow it adds without a heavy or greasy feel! If you want to matte it down, you can always apply a little loose powder. But this is definitely a moisturizing formula with a natural dewy finish, which is very likely to emphasize shine for those with combination to oily skin.
This is also worth trying if you have dry yet acne-prone skin like me…so far it hasn’t triggered any breakouts on my face!
PS: If you prefer something with a natural matte finish, this Cetaphil tinted moisturizer will be your best best!
The only drawback is that this tinted moisturizer comes in a single shade, Natural Glow. Although it’s sheer enough to adapt to several different skin tones, the tint is best suited for light-to-medium skin tones. If you have very fair skin, this would be a nice option for a subtle, sun-kissed glow!
The Babo Botanicals tinted sunscreen actually reminds me a lot of Josie Maran Argan Daily Tinted Moisturizer SPF 47 Protect + Perfect Warm Glow ($36) which is another one of my favorites!
Coverage wise, Josie Maran’s tinted moisturizer is a bit more pigmented but I find its moisturizing texture and dewy finish very similar to Babo’s version. Also, both the products contain 100% mineral sunscreens (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) plus antioxidants and Argan oil to boost sun protection while nourishing the skin.
Another thing worth a mention is that Josie Maran’s formula has slightly peachy, warm undertones whereas Babo’s version is neutral. Overall, I’d say that even though Babo Botanicals tinted sunscreen isn’t an exact dupe of Josie Maran Argan Tinted Moisturizer, they are quite similar and both work well for light to medium skin tones!
Personally, I would pick Babo Botanicals tinted moisturizer because the formula is just as amazing for less than half the price!
Bottom Line
If you like your SPF with a side of dewy glow, you’ve gotta give the new Babo Botanicals Daily Sheer Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 30 a go! Not only does it provide gentle, mineral-based sun protection but this tinted moisturizer is also excellent at evening out skin tone with a luminous, hydrating finish.
Perfect for normal to dry skin and even extra-sensitive skin types, it gives you the best bang for your buck because it’s like a luxe antioxidant-rich moisturizer and sunscreen in one! Not to mention, it comes with an affordable price tag ($14.95) which makes it an all-around winner in my book!
