When it comes to lip colors, I’ll proudly admit that I’m pretty darn picky. Color, shine, staying power and hydration – I want it all! Lip glosses are not my thing (mainly because they are sticky and not long-lasting) and while I love liquid lipsticks for their longevity, I can’t stand the drying or overly matte feel that many of them have.
Enter Urban Decay Vice Lip Chemistry lip tints that tick off (almost) all the right boxes for me!
Urban Decay Vice Lip Chemistry formula feels like a lightweight gloss going on the lips but NOT at all sticky. It’s lightly hydrating without any heaviness and glides on smoothly, leaving lips feeling comfortably moisturized (which is always a big plus for my dry lips!)
Now let’s talk about the pigment payoff. These lip tints start off with a light wash of color and then begin to darken based on your lips natural pH level. It takes a few minutes for the color to fully develop as the pH-reacting formula adjusts to your skin.
It’s easy to build up the color with a couple of coats or you can keep it sheer with just a single swipe. The glossy shine tends to wear away after some time but the colors stay put as a stain and are fairly long-lasting (at least 5 hours if I’m not eating something greasy!)
Here are the swatches of all 12 shades….my favorites are Lovechild, Stacked and Physique.
True to its claims, the formula is transfer-resistant. When I wiped off these swatches with a paper towel, the glossiness was gone but the colors didn’t come off…the stains didn’t budge until I used a makeup remover!
Bottom Line
Overall, color me impressed with the new Urban Decay Vice Lip Chemistry. These lip tints add a pop of color to your pout without the hassle of a high maintenance lipstick or the stickiness of a thick gloss.
Lightweight and transfer-resistant, the formula offers comfort without compromise and won’t leave lips feeling desert-dry. Also, they aren’t sticky or tacky and I haven’t even mentioned how classy and gorgeous the packaging is! Although not super long-wearing, these are perfect for everyday wear and come in plenty of pretty colors to choose from!
Available for purchase at Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Nordstrom, Macy’s and urbandecay.com for $22 each.
