Today’s post features some of my favorite new skincare finds! I’m always testing out new stuff but only a few stand out from the rest and manage to secure a spot in my beauty routine.
From a potent dark-spot correcting serum to nourishing creams that’ll seriously amp up your glow without the greasiness, here are a few skincare products that I’ve been loving lately for my dry, dull winter skin.
Some of these products are not brand new releases but they are new-to-me and definitely deserve the praise….now let’s dive into the details for each one!
Cocokind Ceramide Barrier Serum ($20)
Specifically optimized with 5 types of Ceramides and lipids that mimic and support skin’s natural barrier, this serum nourishes and replenishes for healthy-looking skin.
Key Ingredients:
- Blend of 5 Ceramides – lipids that help maintain skin’s natural function, reduce moisture loss, and protect against dehydration, irritation and signs of aging
- Lipids (fatty acids, cholesterol & squalane) – support skin’s natural moisture barrier to help seal in moisture and provide a barrier against external aggressors
- Lactic acid – helps exfoliate gently while increasing natural ceramide production
This serum has a milky texture with a very lightweight and soothing feel on skin which is great for all skin types. It spreads easily on the skin and absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky film or residue on the skin. I’ve not experienced any pilling so the serum pairs well with all my moisturizers. Overall, this is a really nice serum that offers light hydration and improves skin texture!
The A Method Skin Perfecting Serum 10% Tranexamic Acid Complex ($100)
Tranexamic acid is a powerful discoloration-fading ingredient that targets dark spots and other forms of hyperpigmentation. It is said to be as effective as Hydroquinone but has a better safety profile. It helps even out skin tone with little to no irritation or peeling and plays well with other active ingredients such as Vitamin C and retinol.
This serum is formulated with Tranexamic Acid plus 5 pigment correcting, skin brightening ingredients to help reduce skin discoloration, improve uneven skin tone/texture and minimize the appearance of enlarged pores. It also increases the product absorption of other skincare active ingredients and stimulates natural collagen production.
Key Ingredients:
- Tranexamic Acid
- Trichloroacetic Acid
- Phytic Acid
- Glycolic Acid
- Salicylic Acid
- Gluconolactone
This fragrance-free serum has a water like consistency that absorbs very quickly and layers weightlessly under other serums and moisturizer. I just apply a few drops on my face (focusing on the dark spots) daily after cleansing and then follow with my usual skincare routine.
I have been using this serum for about 2 months now and it has lightened up my dark spots noticeably (without causing irritation or over-drying) I will continue using it for further improvement!
Vitabrid C12 Wrinkle Cream ($70)
Designed to reduce the appearance of deep lines and creases while rejuvenating and nourishing for firmer, plumper-looking skin, this anti-aging cream is loaded with a bunch of peptides and other powerful actives.
It contains a Peptide complex (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide 4 Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 7 Biotinoyl Tripeptide 1 Copper Tripeptide 1) that helps bind in moisture and improve skin firmness and smoothness. Plus, it has vitamin c and Niacinamide to boost radiance and rebalance uneven skin tone along with shea butter and vitamin E to soothe and nourish skin.
This fragrance-free cream has a beautiful creamy texture that just melts into my skin with a velvety feel, absorbing quickly with an almost matte finish….no greasiness at all! Besides its anti-aging benefits, the formula adds a healthy dose of hydration without being heavy or tacky. It’s free of parabens, silicones, colorants, alcohol.
Fleur & Bee H2 Oh Yeah Hydrating Moisturizer ($24)
Packed with 21 nourishing actives, this intensely hydrating cream smooths and revitalizes your skin while providing deep, long-lasting hydration.
The key ingredients are shea butter, sea buckthorn oil, aloe vera, squalane, grapeseed oil, vitamin B5, vitamin E, jojoba oil and hyaluronic acid. This cream has a rich, silky smooth texture that just glides on your skin and leaves it feeling soft, supple and nourished without a heavy/greasy feel.
The formula has a slightly floral scent that fades away quickly after application. It’s a beautiful moisturizer that I can see myself using it all year round! It’s vegan, cruelty-free and free of parabens, silicones and artificial fragrances.
Peach & Lily Lazy Day All-In-One Moisture Pads ($39)
Perfect for lazy – or super busy – days! These hydrating pads are packed with vitamins and antioxidants thanks to ceramides, hyaluronic acid, spinach, broccoli, carrot, pomegranate and bamboo extracts (it’s like a green juice for your face!) to refresh and nourish skin.
The Lazy Day Pads come in a travel-friendly, leakproof container that contains 60 pre-soaked ultra-soft round pads. Simply take one out, and swipe the moisture pad on clean skin across your face. These gentle, luxurious pads have a soothing feel, and one pad is enough for the whole face and neck. After using these, my skin feels soft and moisturized with a healthy glow.
These are so convenient to have for a quick weekend trip, in-flight routine, when you are heading straight from the gym to a night out or those nights when you are completely exhausted! Efficient and super easy to use, these wipes are biodegradable.
Osea Seabiotic Water Cream ($48)
This is a nutrient-rich water cream that delivers deep hydration to skin exposed to everyday pollution and blue light. The formula is infused with a great blend of soothing and hydrating ingredients.
Key Ingredients:
- Prebiotic + Probiotic + Seaweed: Promote skin radiance. The probiotic (microbiome-friendly) in this formula is non-viable. This means it is not a live organism.
- Undaria Pinnatifida Seaweed: Replenishes the moisture barrier and keeps skin looking healthy by fighting free radicals.
- Squalane and Hyaluronic Acid: Provides powerful yet weightless long-lasting moisture
- Bisabolol: Helps soothe dry skin.
This cream has a lightweight, silky texture that feels soothing going on my skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth with a non-greasy finish. Great for all skin types, the formula is light enough to be used in the morning (under your sunscreen) or at night.
I love that this cream is free of any fragrances and essential oils which makes it suitable even for sensitive skin. However, there’s a slight yoghurt-like scent that’s noticeable only during application and doesn’t linger on.
