I’m always excited when my favorite skincare brands release a new mineral sunscreen! So when I found out that First Aid Beauty has launched a physical sunscreen made with 100% non-nano zinc oxide, I had to give it a try and ordered it right away from Sephora.

First Aid Beauty Mineral Sunscreen Review
Packaged in a simple squeeze tube with a screw cap, this sunscreen has a thicker, creamy texture. It appears pretty white when first squeezed out of the tube and although it takes a bit of effort to fully blend in, there is minimal to no white cast left behind after a few minutes (at least on my light-to-medium skin tone). I can’t speak to how it’ll wear on darker skin tones though!
This mineral sunscreen does feel a bit sticky on my skin but overall wears comfortably through the day and is also hydrating. Although the formula isn’t as lightweight as I’d like, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. As for the finish, I’d call it semi-matte. It doesn’t dry down completely matte, but it’s not too dewy either. I think this sunscreen would be best for those with dry skin like mine.
Also, this sunscreen is totally fragrance-free with no typical “sunscreen scent” and there are no essential oils in the formula, which is great especially for sensitive skin.
Bottom Line
First Aid Beauty Mineral Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 30 lives up to its claims of providing easy, everyday sun protection without a white cast, doesn’t make your skin look greasy or shiny.
Not to mention, the fragrance-free formula is great for sensitive skin. And the fact that it’s readily available at Sephora at a reasonable price point ($28 for 1.7 oz) is a big plus! If you have dry, sensitive skin and use only mineral sunscreens like me, this one is worth trying out.
