L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush

It’s been a long time that a drugstore eyeshadow has impressed me so much as the new L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows!

When I spotted the display for these new L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows at my local Walgreens, Amber Rush was the first color that caught my eye……I just can’t resist colors like these! Being a sucker for neutral shades, I also wanted to pick up Bronzed Taupe but it was not in stock on the display shelf at that time.

The texture of the L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow is indeed velvety smooth and although this is a pressed pigment shadow, it looks and feels so much like a cream eyeshadow. The soft, creamy formula is easy to work with and intensely pigmented so you won’t need much layering to get the desired color. I have had no issues with fallout either. Amber rush is a shimmery coppery-bronze with a metallic finish – as gorgeous on the lids as in the pot!

Since the formula promises to be fade and crease resistant, I put the claim to test by applying this eyeshadow without a primer on my oily eyelids. It was a little disappointing to see some fading and creasing after about 4-5 hours as the vibrant color-payoff had raised my hopes. That said, the formula proves to be truly long-lasting with an eyeshadow primer underneath and stays put practically all day with no signs of creasing/smudging.

L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadows have also been compared to the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill  eyeshadows but since I haven’t indulged in the Armani version, I can’t say much about that. Regardless, L’oreal has nailed it on the spot with these new Infallible eyeshadows that are sure to please beauty junkies all around!
