Anastasia Beverly Hills She Wears it Well Eyeshadow Palette
She Wears it Well is Anastasia Beverly Hill’s new mirrored palette of nine, pigment-rich matte, and shimmer shadows in nude and neutral shades. Inspired by the old Hollywood glamor, Anastasia created the She Wears It Well eyeshadow palette to bring the drama and beauty of Hollywood’s golden age to the modern girl.
If you are a fan of easy-to-wear gorgeous neutral eyeshadows like me, then you are going to love this palette as much as I do! Let’s check it out…..
Classic Hollywood glamour with modern moxie. Nude meets knockout with these nine pigment-rich, matte and shimmer shadows that give your eyes enough sophisticated smolder to woo them, every time. No matter how you wear them, you’re sure to wear them well. Shades are: Trophy, Glow, Latte, Foxy, Sunset, Frosting, Almond, Onyx and Toffee.
First off, the packaging is beautiful. Housed in a pink sleeve, the palette itself is black with copper/gold detailing and croc embossed finish. Inside you’ll find 9 eyeshadows with a decent sized mirror on one side and a small dual-ended brush.
Out of the 9 shades, 6 are shimmer and 3 matte. Shimmer shades are: Trophy, Glow, Latte, Foxy, Sunset, Frosting. Matte shades are: Onyx, Almond, Toffee. My favorite ones are Foxy (a chocolate-brown shimmer) and Sunset (peachy gold). In the matte shades, I love Onyx (matte black) that’s highly pigmented and applies super-smooth, it’s perfect for a smokey eye look.
Texture wise, both the matte and shimmery shades are velvety smooth and easy to blend. The color-payoff is really good. You can apply the shadows dry for a sheer wash of color and layer on to build it up or intensify the finish by using them wet. The formula is sure long-lasting with an eyeshadow primer and I didn’t have any fallout issues either. Take a look at the swatches :

Wondering how does this compare to Urban Decay Naked palette? I do have the original Naked palette and found the texture of Anastasia’s eyeshadows softer with more of a satin-finish. Plus, there’s hardly any fallout with these as compared to some of the shadows in Naked.
I also received five Face Chart cards (not available at retail) in my package with tips to create different eye looks for the shadow tints featured in the palette. Here are two of my favorites :
Overall, I am truly delighted with Anastasia’s She Wears It Well palette. If you are looking for an everyday neutral color palette with the option of a few sultry/dark shades, this one is a fabulous pick! The kit offers a versatile selection of neutrals/nude shades in both shimmer and matte finishes that you can mix and match to create a range of looks from day to night. Plus, the sleek design with its magnetic closure feature makes the palette travel-friendly…..what’s not to love!

I bought this palette, and I am honestly disappointed in not receiving the cards. Many bloggers made this palette sound like the cards were included with the palette, and that is a large reason why I bought it. I think it’s really unfortunate that a) most bloggers did not disclose they were not for retail as you did, and b) that they weren’t included, as I think they make this neutral palette FAR more unique imo. I own over 50 neutral palettes, and this one without the cards isn’t any more amazing than others I own.

I think this palette is beautiful. I’ve ordered it from Sephora. I didn’t know that the cards didn’t come with it so I’m glad I read the comments or I’d think I was missing something. I can’t wait to try it out.

The iridescent sheen in the eyeshadow is just gorgeous! Deep purple eyeliner is a good way to ease into the trend.
