As you probably know, I am a fan of Prequel skincare. I have really liked every product I’ve tried from the brand so far. So, when I saw two new Prequel products during my recent trip to Target, I had to give them a try!
I’m truly thankful there’s a dermatologist out there who’s developed gentle, budget-friendly formulas tailored for sensitive skin. While I am willing to invest in high-performing products up to a certain price, saving money without compromising on results is always my preference. Thanks, Dr. Ellis, for delivering effective skincare solutions that support both my skin and my wallet.
Now let’s get into the details of both the products..
Prequel Multi-Quench Gel Cream ($17.99)
This is a lightweight, humectant-rich gel cream formulated with dual-weight polyglutamic acid, glycerin, minerals (zinc, copper & magnesium) and osmolytes. The formula is very lightweight and absorbs quickly without clogging pores. It provides immediate and long-lasting hydration while also supporting skin barrier function.
In the morning, it offers a weightless layer of moisture under sunscreen. At night, it can be the last step of your routine; but if your skin is on the drier side like mine, you can layer it under a heavier moisturizer or facial oil.
If your skin is oily or you live in a humid or warm place, this gel cream is a great option with its lightweight, non-comedogenic formula that hydrates effectively without a heavy after feel. It’s also fragrance-free and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

Prequel Pre-Gleanse Cleansing Balm ($19.99)
Formulated with soothing bisabolol, ectoin, barrier-supporting fatty acids and modern surfactants, this cleansing balm melts away makeup and impurities while rinsing off clean. It transforms from a plush balm into a silky oil to efficiently remove makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum but doesn’t leave any residue on the skin.
It leaves skin feeling soft, nourished and comfortably clean. You can also use it comfortably around the sensitive eye area, it’s ophthalmologist-tested.
How to use Pre-Gleanse Cleansing Balm
Using dry hands, apply a generous amount onto dry skin and around eyes to dissolve makeup and impurities. Massage it onto dry skin for about 30-60 seconds. Then add a little water to emulsify the product. Rinse thoroughly.
The formula is clinically tested non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores and even those with oily or acne-prone skin can use it without any concern. It is also fragrance-free and suitable for sensitive skin as well as safe for skin with eczema, rosacea, and other mild skin conditions.
