Are you a fan of exotic and unique perfumes? Well, then here’s one that you would want to check out…..Amber perfume oil by Nemat International. Nemat is a line of rich perfume oil blends that has its company roots going back 170 years to India. They combine the traditional aspects of Indian perfumery with modern aesthetics to develop exquisite fragrances. Nemat fragrances are blended in USA using exotic essential oils and fragrance ingredients from around the world. Amber perfume oil is actually their number-one selling fragrance so I was pretty excited to give it a try!
Amber is a warm, slightly sweet, soft Oriental scent that has a very clean and feminine feel. As it is a concentrated, full strength perfume oil and contains no alcohol, the scent is in its purest form and needs to be used only sparingly. I just dab a little on my pulse points like the back neck, or on the wrist and that does it. That said, even if you happen to apply a bit too much, you won’t be overwhelmed by the scent.
Amber’s fresh, elegant aroma subtly blends with one’s body chemistry, deepening into a beautiful complexity unique to each person. In fact, it’s almost a skin scent on me that just makes me smell good, but not in a typical perfume-ish way. And what I like is that unlike a few amber scents that I’ve tried, this one isn’t intense nor does it have any incense-like notes.
Overall, I really like Nemat’s Amber perfume oil. It’s a very natural, beguiling scent with a sweet warmth. A great choice for those senstive to regular perfumes. The perfume oil comes in a cute little dome shaped bottle that will last a long time due to the high concentration of the oil. There are 2 sizes : 5ml and 10ml retailing for $9 and $15.50. At such an affordable price, this is a quality perfume oil well-worth trying! Available at most Whole Foods markets and fine natural foods stores, and online at NematInternational.com and Amazon.com.

I find historically based perfumes fascinating. I’ll be on the lookout to see if these are available locally in my part of Canada.
